I haven't played the game in a while, so I can't remember if the editor is supposed to work in tournament mode. If tournament teams are not eligible for online play, then it should be possible to find a way to get it working.
I would guess not for a month or two at least. The internal data structures of the game have changed significantly this year. From my perspective, the updates to the game in 2022 are by far the biggest for many years. I'm working on it, but it's going to take time.
I believe they added tournament teams to online play in 2021 but they lack a difficulty setting. Although I could be wrong, I will look into it further.

Will take another month, lots of additional datasets in 2022 edition for players I presume. Also, with regular updates of versions every week from Developers, might make sense to wait.
They have been deliberately removed at the request of the game's developers.
It only applies to the current savegame.
