George Dobell: "Good win there for the One-Day International team. You were watching, what are the prospects for the test match?"

Shaun Tait: "It was a real comfortable victory today and we owe most of that too our batsmen. They had a fantastic match."

George Dobell: "You will be putting on the jersey for the test match. Are you fit and ready?"

Shaun Tait: "Yes, Steven Harmison is on the mend and will return shortly. But I have an important announcement to make. I won't be part of the Ashes XI after this test match because of mutual reasons. Good luck to you all, we will meet again. Sometime."

What? Is that just for a good storyline or are you actually pulling your player out.

George Dobell: "You have been dropped from the test match squad!"

Shaun Tait: "Yes, I am very upset. I tried to say in my last interview that I would be leaving AFTER the test match against the Asian XI to deal with a family problem back home. I was totally committed to this side but now it seems I have no chance."

Ashes XI selectors have requested that Shaun Tait provide them with details of his leaving, temporary or permanent, how long. Under certain circumstances he will be put back into the Test squad

Shaun Tait: "I will be going back to Australia because of an illness in my family. This has hit me hard, and at a bad time for me. I WILL return for the test series against New Zealand. I have heard that the recovery rating for my ill family member is high."

Due to the recent comments from Shaun Tait the Selectors have decided to reinstate the aussie pace bowler. This decision has been made due to new facts emerging about the players future commitment. The team will revert to the original Test squad
