After my 4/85 against the USA, I think I deserve a place in the ODI team!
Thats the point, it wasn't a test! 85 runs in ten overs is disgraceful, with a few lucky wickets. You'll be hammered by our te...uh...our enemy.

Actually, you should be in :)

I sure am in form, no doubt :)

Test selection coming soon and match to be played v. Asian XI in a new thread just for that match maybe today! or tommorrow

Reasons for ODI selection

Just thought I would give an insight into my decisions

Openers- Hayden and Strauss both impressed by single handedly winning a warm up, what we need to build a good start of an innings. Trescothick and Langer are being heavily involved in my Test selection plans

Gilchrist, Flintoff, Pieterson, Vaughan, - I felt they are going to be more help in an attacking innings than Ponting, Martyn, Katich or Bell and Vaughan playing as captain this time will help consolidate if a bad start

Clarke not Collingwood - I felt 2 spinners could be helpful in slowing down opponents innings and Clarke adds more to a batting order

S Jones not Harmison - His performance in the ODI really lit up the day and Harmison will be more useful in the tests.

Gilchrist not G Jones - Again GIlchrist is a better batter and is equal if not better with the gloves

Test lineup soon and possibly an extra warmup v.Netherlands

Shaun Tait talks to SPIN magazine's George Dobell.

George Dobell: "Why do you think you weren't selected for the One-Day International against the Asian XI?"

Shaun Tait: "Of course I was disappointed not to be chosen for the One-Day International against the Asian XI, but the selectors have to decide taking certain circumstances into account. Overall, I think experience ruled me out, despite my wonderful bowling against the United States of America."

George Dobell: "What are your plans now? Are you still hoping to be selected for the test match squad, or are you going to walk away?"

Shaun Tait: "I believe I have the ability to be selected for the test match squad, as I can keep the runs down and take vital wickets. I can also keep my head under pressure. If I am not selected, then better luck next time. But I am not just going to wait and hope on the sidelines for long. I need to be playing cricket."
