Asia Cup 2022 - Sri Lanka (UAE)

Can anyone help refresh my memory here? During the last edition of the Asia Cup, did they carry points into the Super 4? If you are going to play the same opposition yet again, I fully believe that the original points ought to be carried over into the next round. Else, the initial stage are inconsequential. Am not saying this cause we crashed out here.

Had the points(against the opponent) been carried over, we would have had a situation where someone like Afghanistan would still be in a position to qualify for the Finals after a close game. Essentially, today's encounter(both India and Afghanistan on 2 points apiece) would have been a quarter-final of sorts with all sorts of mathematical calculations coming into play.
Battered and bruised India should win today. The margin and manner is anybody's guess.

Afghanistan will put up a fight. When we played them in the CWC2019, we had a pretty close shave then.

I dont expect this game to be easier for us. I expected the Sri Lankan encounter to be easier, not the Afghan one. India havent been battered and bruised. Afghanistan have been. I am betting them to take this game- then again, India will not field its best XI today. Expect KLR to walk out at toss today.

I am CONVINCED your hate is all that's keeping KLR in the side (and now has him captaining India) :laughter: :sweat:
I mean he should have been a gentlemen and told BCCI, hey BCCI, I was injured for a year, I do not have match practice, if you put me in the squad and play me in the XI for Asia Cup and for sure the WC, I will lose you both the cups. I have 0 form, I am no longer suited for T20's as I am selfish player who only plays for stats padding.. I need some time and bring me back for 2023 50 over world cup.

The debacle (once again, same old story) for Team India yet again proves to be selection. Like how the fearsome tweak with Bumrah out, you do not have Shami in the lineup? How do you play with inexperienced bowling lineups?

Its high time we Indian fans hold the BCCI accountable. The bench strength means jack ass if we do not win tournaments.

Indian Captain KL Rahul: "We wanted to bat first, challenge ourselves again and put up a target. Rohit just wants to take a break considering the tough conditions here, and the World Cup ahead. We're trying to finalise the roles that each individual will play in the world cup. Obviously losing is not great but we will grow stronger."

That beginning two words :sick::sick::sick:

KL was the preferred for captaincy by Virat himself, its great to see him take over from Nohit, hopefully its a permanent change.

Damn, really wanted DK to captain the team.

Anyhow, India loss loading! Can't imagine any other result today

If somehow India wins this match then.....

Rohit?
