When on a roll we shouldn't impede our own momentum. This is what we did today by going in with a depleted side. Can't say much,India seems happy with the loss. Thank you, Mr Dravid for bringing back memories of 2007.

The inclusion of two finger spinners never worked for India even in India especially when the wicket is not a turner. It's a delicate balance. Pakistan have kept a very steady XI for a while and a couple of injuries has proven that if you don't keep your bench match ready then the rails could fall off.
I think India's biggest learning from yesterday is that the overs that will be needed to be bowled by Jadeja and Patel are happy hours. I personally think we lost the 19 WC due to strategic and team building blunders and the bowling weaknesses of Chahal in the SF.
I think it is clear that our top 7 Is good enough. I saw the entire game yesterday and Shardul is not your answer to a third seamer. Pandya is a better bowler and batter. I would 100% go with Shami and include another wrist spinner in the squad.
Shardul will bat 4-5 balls on average or 10 balls but he has to bowl 60 in 10 games. I just don't see this obsession of a number 8 that can bat.
EDIT- Also, apart from that final in the IPL, Jadeja's batting has been very poor since his comeback. 0 intent.
And had that game been washed out India would have not played a second string side resting 5 off their players and had not bowl first after winning the toss.
Regardless of the results that followed it had a massive shift by adding a reserve day. Of course different things could have played out differently; Naseem Shah would not have picked up an injury, so Pakistan might have been more likely to beat Sri Lanka. And had that game been washed out India would have not played a second string side resting 5 off their players and had not bowl first after winning the toss.
Now you will come up with Bangladesh resting players pretty sure they would have played a full strong side too.
And had that been happened England would have won the Ashes.
I believe you are wrong there. Our bench and our Top 7 aren't the best when it comes to chasing totals or under pressure situations.I think it is clear that our top 7 Is good enough
Axar will be replaced by Sundar/Ashwin for the World Cup... He is injured. The inclusion of two finger spinners never worked for India even in India especially when the wicket is not a turner.
The Weather Gods have spokenLost the toss.
Game over?

In the games vs Pak/SL we batter first. The 2nd Pak game was the only one where our openers and No3 &4 batted through till the end. The Lanka game saw Rohit tee off, but the rest were simply awful.
Against Bangladesh, it was clear that the likes of KLR ,SKY cannot cope with the pressure during tension encounters. Let us accept that we are poor during pressure games, no matter the opposition. The Bangladesh team we lost against was a below par BD, nowhere close to the one they would have played if they were full strength.
Supporting your country on account of patriotism is one thing, but supporting a bunch of over-rated league mongers ,who don't care about the nation- I am seriously re-evaluating my support to our side.
