well combined XI's are not selected on the basis of statistics...and if one wants to take a look at them then he should take a look at the complete stats and not one year or so...anyway its not important who wins this match...what's important is that MCG should not have a seat left for 10th Jan or not? and hence we need aussie crowd pullers in this match...

I think Kaif should be in the XI but no one to kick out. Sami has been performing quite poorly under Inzi hence shouldn't be in the team if Inzi is skipper. But all the same Zaheer/Mortza(atleast one Bangladeshi should represent thier country) or maybe Akhtar(a great crowd puller) should be in the place or Sami, while Jaisuriya might perform better opening.

NDTV has declared the supposed Asian XI squad. It is interesting to note that there are no Pakistani players selected. I'm not sure of the accuracy of this news article, because it is not up on the Cricinfo website yet. But this is the squad according to the article...

That only makes 11 men, though. Perhaps the remaining three are Pakistani. Perhaps Shoaib, Inzy and Afridi. Hehehe.

that will be a great match, the asian xi has a superb team on paper, but i still think the world xi with the likes of Lara and company will come out on top, but does promises to be the most intriuging game of the year
