Asif may actually benefit from this with the injuries he has had, this will mean he will be 100% fit when he comes back.

If the only reason that asif got a lighter sentence was because hes younger and doesnt have the same knowledge of drugs the system is a joke and I am completely outraged. Next time hes batting they might aswell say, nope hes not out because he isnt old enough to know the ball was going to do that!
If hes playing with the big boys, he has to follow the same guidlines as the big boys and I hope that for the sake of the PCB's reputation that there is more to this than just that.

I found it hilarious that imran kahn said it wasnt fair because it will greatly lessen the chances of pakistan lifting the world cup.....well DUUUHHHHH!!!! thats what happens when you play a team game and some of your players break the rules!

Apparently he was more in the know, and did all of this stuff deliberately (my facts could well be wrong.) Even if this is the case though, he should only get the same penalty as Warne. Ignorance shouldn't be an excuse.rickyp said:

somewhere on cricinfo one of the people on the pakistan cricket board said that a example needed to be made of Shoaib and also the Warne case was handled by ICC and the Shoaib and Asif thing was handled by PCB. which i think is the main reason that the length of the ban was longer.

some of the questions asked were,

Akthar : There was no doctor for our Team
Q : But PCB says there is a doctor and also the newspapers!
Akthar : Everything in the newspapers cannot be believd! There was no doctor for 4 years for our team!
Q : About disaggreements in bus with the coach?
Akthar :Again i dont knw why they call it a disagreement! Its like kids complaining! We were having fun like change this music and coach wants to listen to another music..So whats there in this...
