In the WC only semifinalists get a free pass to the next round right? So teams like PNG can face teams like Australia in the first round?Ireland, Scotland and PNG all qualified. Fairly predictable from these regions.
Five more to go; 1 from Americas (should be Canada), 2 from Asia, 2 from Africa. Would expect Zim and Namibia from Africa while the Asian one is a little more difficult to predict.
Four groups of five then two groups of four. So, yep PNG will play one of the top teams. In the WC only semifinalists get a free pass to the next round right? So teams like PNG can face teams like Australia in the first round?
Oh wow, that is gonna be massive. Like watching the fifa world cup.Four groups of five
It's just a shame they don't go straight to quarter finals but it's certainly an improvement on the previous format.Oh wow, that is gonna be massive. Like watching the fifa world cup.

I don't know how the seeding will work, I assume it'll involve a highly complex mathematical formula that means India will play Pakistan at some point.

There were rumours about it being shifted to EnglandThis may be the largest main tournament the ICC has held in terms of participants. The last time a big tournament had plenty of teams it was also held in… West Indies. I hope this one doesn’t end up being as drawn out as that one.
They could make the hosts a top seed (like FIFA) so West Indies, USA and top two ranked sides India and England as top seeds. Pakistan could mysteriously, as a second seed, end up in India's group. This is why.
It depends, do they want to guarantee one Ind v Pak match or risk having no match. If India and Pak are in the same group I don't think they can be in the same Super 8s group? Maybe they'll go with pre-seeded Super 8s so no matter if Ind or Pak end up 1st or 2nd, they'll face eachother. Being in the same Super 8s also increases the possibility of facing eachother in the final, rather than semifinal.
