WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!!! Thats a really rare species of a guy for Indian cricket. Just so eager to see how this guy shapes up. If he shapes up as well as some have been expecting him to be, he will be a terror in the cricketing world. Just the look of someone like him running in at the batsmen can rattle you.

Kamran Khan and now Atul Sharma.... Hmm, thats a very very encouraging sign for Indian fast bowling which is already in the best possible health right now (with Ishant and Zaheer).

Thank god Ian Pont Posted that video on his site.:banana2:banana2:banana2... A banana to those who were thinking that this thread is a joke and Atul Sharma is Farce. With the kind of built he has and the action, he can bowl above 100mph easily. I would say that his action is slightly like Akhtar but a lot more side on than akhtar. This guy can wrestle too..

Dont make a fool out of yourself. max_dillon is not wrong when he says that with the build and action Atul has, he could easily bowl over 100mph. I feel the same too. He can potentially cross that mark and be the fastest in the world. max_dillion is not dealing with '"if's" when he talks about touching 100mph whereas you are touching the "if he did so...." statement to sarcastically hit at him.

I really hope Atul Sharma is an express bowler, and I think it's possible that he will be (although we've all been disappointed before with this sort of hype). But to say that he'll easily bowl over 100mph is just a little bit hyperbolic, don't you think?

On the other hand, if you do think there are bowlers who can easily bowl over 100mph then I don't think I'm the one who's in danger of making a fool of himself.

Facing 100mph on a bowling machine is like facing 110mph out of a bowlers hand and that's virtually impossible to hit. I doubt that anyone will ever bowl 100mph consistantly.

Because you can pick the length of the delievery at the last second before the bowler lets go of the ball, hence you can get into position earlier to play the shot. Plus, you know when the ball is going to be released from the bowlers hand and you don't know when the ball is going to come out of the bowling machine. So you basically have to read the delievery through the air off the bowling machine, so you react a few more miliseconds laters then you would if you were facing it coming out of the bowlers hand.

You can feel the difference aswell. Facing a bowler bowling at 80-85mph is like facing the bowling machine at 70-75mph.
