The interview on PP had a note saying that a video would be on Mavericks at around the time he is announced in the Royals squad. No announcement yet, though.

Ah fair enough. Any idea when the Royals squad announcement will come? We've had the announcement of the guys that have been sent home, and Atul wasn't in that list, so we'll hopefully get a full squad list soon and just have to hope Atul's in there.

Ian Pont says fast bowlers are made, not born.

And i am sure Ian Pont could bowl a lot faster than Akram could in his pump. Ian pont may be an expert but his opinion is worth little compared to opinion of a bowler of Akram's calibre.

At the end of the day, its still just an opinion. And it could well be proven true or false by someone else.

Too much is placed on the prestige of an opinion, not enough on the methods taken to reach it.

I was getting angry at those who dismissed his existence but I have to say, I'm starting to jump on that bandwagon as well. I'm pretty disappointed. I can only hope that he is real and Ian Pont hasn't taken us for a very long ride.

^ Kamran Khan was really impressive. In terms of bowling good but nonsense balls :p Oh, I'll never be able to forget that fall :p:p:p:p

Considering the fact that the rest of the bowlers went at much lower ER, and that they also reduced BRC to next to nothing, before Dravid and KP launched the rescue, I would hardly read into his performances as satisfying. Frankly I think he is hyperrated. Warne seems to have got one wrong finall.y

His yorker in the warm-up game was a jaffer, he just couldn't really get his rhythm right yesterday, didn't seem to be getting the ball in the right areas, which is expected from a guy that's only 18/19 and not played professional cricket before. I think if Warne rates him highly, he's gotta have some talent. Give him time.
