Australia Ashes Team Thread

I might pop in here and there but I'm in Sydney currently so net access is limited (primitive city ;)). Getting around is hard without trams, and why are their taxis white instead of yellow? Taxis are supposed to stick out, not blend in!

Aus - cabs in Sydney are all sorts of colours. They have this thing on their roof which says "Taxi". We should have known that Vics can't read and colour-coded everything. Shame about the trams - your about 50 years too late for them.
Wednesday night, go to the Edinburgh Castle for trivia and cricket on the plasma screens. Corner of Pitt and Bathurst.

That doesn't even work here. The 'Silver Top Taxis' have green roofs.

With Trams, if the only other city that has them is Adelaide, you know you aren't doing things right.

Most of the time when people are hailing taxis they just wave at anything which moves. Got picked up by a police paddy wagon like that one time. They even took me home without asking for my fingerprints or charging me with anything. I asked them if they wanted to come in for a couple of settlers but they declined. Good thing too 'cos as soon as I opened the door I saw there were all sorts of shenanigans going on inside.

Uhh, this ain't America. Taxis are white in W.A as well.

And what is with you and Trams? Trams are crap.
Trams are easier to get on and off than trains, service main roads in all areas and are more frequent than buses.

And white taxis are stupid, yellow taxis stand out.

What about the silver taxis, and the green ones? There's red and white ones too in Sydney. In fact there's all sorts.
Trams are okay. They're free in Melbourne if you jump off at the right time.

Nope. I think they used to in the olden times and I'm sure there's one in one of the museums, but the only Trams in Victoria are in Melbourne and the occasional heritage tourist trams in places like Ballarat.

There's just some awful buses that never look where they are going.

Trams are awesome. I walk for a minute from my house to the end of my street and hop on a tram that takes me right past my school, or onwards towards the city. Melbourne has one of the best public transport networks in the world, but it's run by a bunch of incompetent fools.
