Australia in South Africa Oct-Nov 2011/12

How is Steve Smith still in the team? In his past 15 matches he's averaged 12 with the bat and 66 with the ball.

Alright Johnson's done, send him home.

Maybe they're hoping that he'll turn it around :p

Smith's listed at 5 in the batting line-up, so you've pretty much gotten your wish of 4 instead of 7.

God what a fried chickening terrible throw by Johnson, completely blew running out G. Smith. Right after a confrontation between the two no less.

----------

Watson goes down in a heap with 1 ball left in his over. Disastrous times for us right now as Clarkey finishes it off.

Ah, one back for poor old HotSpot, attempted reverse goes through to keeper, not a lot of noise to it, but good enough contact for a nice white spot on the glove.

----------

In the wise words of Bill, it's all happening.

Finally something to cheer about, both danger men gone in quick succession, playing stupid shots. Though Kallis was run out, was still a stupid shot.

----------

Bring on the collapse! *maniac laugh*

Important part of the game coming now. Miller is key to what total we can reach. PE is small ground and seems to be hitting them decently except for that lbw incident.

Don't know what smith was thinking playing reverse sweeps and kallis was also silly.

Still think there is room for rudolph in this batting line up instead of faf.

Not liking our chances of chasing 300+ without Watson, really need another 3 quick wickets.

Important half-century from David Miller and in quick time too..surface at Port Elizabeth has historically been a slow one, have to say that the Saffers have put in an aggressive batting effort to push for a total well above average on this ground...already showed signs of helping tweakers, SA may have to use Duminy and Du Plessis, if need be, to bowl in tandem with Botha.

Christ, it's like a bloody funeral out there. 33 runs off 21 balls at the start, followed by 25 runs off 69 balls.

I know the Aussies are only 2 down but to all intents and purposes, these are our last 2 batsmen if Watson isn't up to it. It's hard for them to take too many risks against good quality bowling and no-one to come in after who can actually bat properly in this format.

Warner has already had one life.

Edit: I suppose there is Haddin, I'd forgotten about him but he's reckless and and in rubbish form at present.
