Australia in South Africa Oct-Nov 2011/12

Typical S African bowling conditions that have been seen on all of AUS tours to the country that i've seen since 97/98, 2001/02, 05/06 and 08/09.

So regardless of how many AUS make, they have to bowling to cause the Saffies batsmen equal trouble.

Really a good stuff from Clarke. Pleased to see him taking over the captaincy. He has played agressively throughout his innings, which is pretty amazing, the best I have seen him look out in the middle for a long time. Hopefully the tail can stay around and perhaps get the Aussies to 300.

Misbah should watch Clarke bat. Clarke was facing the world's most hostile bowling attack on a difficult track and he was scoring at strike rate of over 90. Such an impressive innings from the captain inspires the team while a 9 runs off 97 balls will only hurt the aggression that has been key for Pakistan's success in test cricket in past.

^that is what i was also thinking. They lost wickets at regular intervals but the team runrate is nearly 4 something that our team must learn.

I like the look of Philander. Gets brilliant seam movement. Much better than Lopsy.

Steyn as dangerous as ever. If he keeps going like this, I might start to rate him above Marshall. Brilliant bowler.

Gotta be happy with 284 after being 8/214. Good stuff by Clarke and Siddle.

Saffies all out for 220 I reckon.

We could have got more if Pup could have stayed in. Lyon has been very handy with the bat lately.

Yeah, Lyon was treated as a bit of a Chris Martin, but can't really blame Clarke for going after them the way he was seeing it.

Is that extreme optimism or is the pitch very seam friendly?

Little bit of both.. mostly optimism.

Australians have really stuck with Johnson. I used to be a fan but he is way too inconsistent to feature in their test side.

Probably the greatest review to ever be reviewed.

Pretty sure the Kallis/Smith partnership will be broken by [an edge to the slips]
