Australia tour of India 2023 (3 ODI & 5 T20i) Sep 22 - Dec 03

Horrendous captaincy, Horrendous decision making from management and Horrendous bowling! They lost the game after scoring 222?

Prasidh Krishna has been CRAP three games in a row now! Absolutely not cut out for T20 bowling at all. Cant learn, an absolute messed up head. He is just like Ishant Sharma, whom he closely resembles! Axar Patel for the 19th over? Could have kept Avesh for the end. How do you finish off Arsdheep by the 17th, where he is clearly a final two overs bowler? Yes he was expensive, but if kept for the right overs, his figures could've looked much better!

Feeling bad for Gaikwad that his innings got overshadowed by such ineptness from the bowlers and the captain/management.

It’s unbelievable that this team continues to go with five bowling options only even after learning a harsh lesson multiple times. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Prasidh needs some time in the IPL or the nets before he gets picked again in T20Is.

I’d like to see Gaikwad in ODIs, the format is tailor made for his playing style.

Looks like India heading for another useless bilateral series win.

How dare you call this useless bilateral, we won the biggest trophy in the world today (IDFC First Bank). The only one we can actually win!

Bilateral champs>>>> World Champs

Deepak Chahar is massively overrated.

He is nothing but a slightly better version of Lord Thakur with more Swing.

Very poor at death, if new ball swing doesn't work for him he is just a 2 over bowler.

And yeah Injury prone gets injured every now and then.

Our fast bowler backup stacks have gone down considerably since Kohli left captaincy and Dravid became coach.

Who are the next fast bowlers? And by next, quality fast bowlers?

Prasidh is shit, Avesh is ok, Umran is too raw, Deepak and Shardul are meh. We are back to Dhoni era where we had to rely consistently on Pravin Kumars in a test match.

This feels like an exaggeration.

The only pacers I can think of who were active under Kohli and haven’t played since then are Saini, Khaleel, Kaul and Natarajan. Out of these, Natarajan has been plagued by injuries, Kaul never kicked on after his 2018 IPL, Khaleel didn’t look like the goods then (and was arguably misused) while Saini declined as a pacer while playing under Kohli himself at IPL. Chahar, Prasidh and Thakur were both backups under Kohli too. The only two success stories were Bumrah in tests and Siraj transitioning from wayward backup to an all format pacer.

Judging these blokes by this series also feels harsh since it’s been filled with batting surfaces. Behrendorff is the only Aussie with an economy under nine (his is a freakish 5.75) and he would be a starter in any other country barring South Africa.

The thing I would worry about is the lack of strategy and execution issues with the side’s pacers. That’s more of a bowling coach problem if anything, we should have never let go of Bharat Arun.

Congratulations to world champions runners up on winning the world cup some random trophy. The trophy cabinet is getting heavy so we compensate that by losing the biggest world cups that matter. Well done.

We should just scrap the boring world cups across format and everyone should only compete in important meaningless bilaterals. See even England is doing well against minnow West Indies.

Mukesh Kumar has had a quietly impressive series in what is his weakest format. Maybe there’s more to him than what meets the eye.

Atleast we are winning this guys, better when comparing to our Asian friends.
