Australia tour of New Zealand 2010

80 not out will have to do :) Still looks a bit suspect against the short stuff but he hasn't got out to it.

Good win first innings bowling did the job and Bollinger stood up as leader of the pack again.
Tuffey out injured, will be interesting seeing who they bring in. Would get Williamson in as well.

I'm wondering that myself, with Hamish Bennett injured, I think all we've really got left are Aldridge & Mason, and i'm not really jumping at the bit too see them in the side, maybe James Franklin though he isn't really the bowler he use to be. I can really only think of Michael Bates & Gareth Shaw as potential bolters for the next test.

Though I think we may have to settle with......Jeetan Patel. :facepalm

God I feel dirty even saying those words.

New Zealand can still take a lot out of this match. Poor effort in the first innings but they can be proud that they actually set a target in excess of 100 after such a horrible start.

With Tuffey out they will most likely go for Nathan or Franklin now there is no way we can have a tail starting at 8.

Hughes without the pressure certainly has batted well. Did the job and ensured there were no repeats of that failed chase in India.

That's the key really. There was no pressure or fear. Can't really judge him based on it. I wouldn't keep him in the side when Watson returns unless he replaces North but he just got a hundred despite him being crap. So I dunno.

The only pace bowlers doing decently (according to the MVP) are Ewen Thompson(:facepalm), Graeme Aldridge (alright...but Northern would have no bowlers left lol), Michael Mason (please no), Michael Bates (not bad, can bat as well), and Warren McSkimming (hmm).

But they'll probably go with Jeetan...

Yeah can't wait till Wagner becomes a kiwi lol.
They will bring someone new in or Franklin but Jeetan will probably play.

Cricket:Martin Crowe wants NZ to resist Kane Williamson selection | BLACK CAPS News

With changes to the batting line up expected, Crowe is speaking from experience when he says Australia is not the team for Kane Williamson to be tested out against in international cricket

Crowe said the humiliation that he and Ken Rutherford felt a that age when they failed stayed with them for a long time.

He believes Williamson would be in for a rude awakening, going from facing domestic bowlers, to taking on Australia's attack.

Booo. No surprising though, Crowe came out and said the same thing about picking Williamson last year.
