Australian Domestic Cricket

Wow Jason Krejza's a shocking bowler. Good spinner of the ball, but a terrible bowler. I was at tonights match and his bowling placement was just terrible. Full tosses, half volley, wide down leg, the list goes on. Lost us the game really, we were in with a chance until that over.

I'll keep an eye on him on saturday,;) going to Burnie for the game. That's what keeps him out of the Aus team, can take wickets but is too expensive.

Sometimes spin bowling just comes down to having balls of steel. It's easy to bowl a good ball if the batsman doesn't want to attack it, but it's generally what spinners like to do; putting pressure on the batsman. However in a lot of games of cricket, the opposite happens, the batsman needs no invitation to have a dip and suddenly pressure is on the spinner. That's when you really need to be remarkable, either persistently putting the ball on the spot or revealing your cunning ruse. When under the pump, either is a mark of unflinching self belief.

Go redbacks! Ferguson is a gun and I'm glad that he made a century. I also sort of hoped that Cossie would have made heaps of runs just to stick it up the SACA board for getting rid of him. I wish Cossie was still at the redbacks.

A timely reminder to the selectors by Ferguson especially for a spot in the ODI side.

O'Keefe will struggle to get a spot as a spinner after that performance by Hauritz and we got enough problems fitting in 3 seamers let alone 2 so O'Keefe would have to go into the batting spot. Given Henriques is doing nothing that would be the way to go. Smith being called up to Australia would help him that as he won't get much bowling if O'Keefe and Hauritz are in the side.

Mitchell Marsh is out for three months due to impending ankle surgery, Western Australia lose another seamer. Thankfully Coulter-Nile is fit, Porter will get an extended run i'd say in both shield & one-day cricket now and they also have Dixon and Paskal they are getting down to a third choice bowling attack.

hopefully he wasn't driving over the limit and assaulting police like Pomersbach, because it would mean the end of the season for him.

swirler added 6 Minutes and 52 Seconds later...

Nathan Coulter-Nile has been suspended for drinking. it is not know when Coulter-Nile will be made available for WA selection again.

Given Krejza style of bowling he would always have nights like that in limited overs cricket & why he really shouldn't play that format.

I remember watching live stream of this game early in the season & he bowled quite well also:

New South Wales v Tasmania at Sydney, Oct 22, 2010 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Hmm Tom Beaton gets his debut for WA and is placed in a tough position, WA needing 160 to win in 25 overs and probably not enough wickets to do so.

Nice knock on debut, WA badly need a batsmen to stand up and he might be it.

NSW game started pretty early, Lee continuing his good form with the early wicket. Abbott finally gets a game as well.
