Lots of runs for Robinson in first grade and he made 77 against the England Performance Programme team, so it's safe to say he's there abouts first class quality. A mature age pick for a team that could use someone sensible.
Michael Neser follows in the footsteps of Kepler Wessels as a South African-born Queenslander, but there isn't much to compare after that. The 20 year old middle order player has been around their set up for a bit and played a decent innings in the last one day game. They seem to fancy him as a bit of an all-rounder.
Joe Burns is an attacking top order bat. He is QAS' top scorer in the Futures League, with a couple of hundreds and also made a couple of decent scores against the EPP, so he gets his deserved chance to make a mark.
Interesting to note the leading run scorer in first grade is a teen opener by the name of Corey Barsby. One suspects such a name should inevitably play for Queensland and he is in fact; leading the u19s at the National Championships.
