Australian Domestic Cricket

ok, lol. but with the australian selectors, i wouldn't be surprised, i mean they select some spinner who has played 37 FC matches but averages over 50 with the ball and can't bat and they won't drop either clarke or north.

Well done Hauritz has now done two things which he never achieved previously in getting a Shield 5-fer and now a 100. At least Henriques was run out so can't blame him for not going on with his start as usual.

Klinger gloves Clark down the legside. Good take by Neville. Ferguson in, seems like there could be some runs out there for him. He doesn't not need them.

Another two wickets in the second innings for Smith so if he can get another 4 or so he's a good chance to play in Perth, specially since Hauritz hasn't got any wickets yet.

Hauritz got a few balls to hit the inside half of the bat, but only bowling on the regulation off break line. He really needs to be able to hit the rough. It's the SCG, so it's definitely there for him.

Smith has gotten wickets through some fairly clumsy batting. Christian made a quick 16 runs off Smith's last over before play was somewhat bemusingly called off due to light.

Ferguson and Christian both get their 100.

Smith has only had a few overs, apparently he isn't good enough to bowl at the rough on a day 4 pitch.

Smith certainly loves bowling to the average South Australian batting lineup.

Hoepfully Ferguson gets a hundred.

ABC Sport - Domestic cricket system 'not what it was'

The domestic system isn't the problem. I still think our Domestic system is yonks above England's, and isn't the reason we are losing. England simply came with a better team, and a team that had actually played together before. The Aussies didn't even know their XI until the last moment heading into a home Ashes series. The Australian selectors are just panicking and trying to make miracle selections. X looks like he's going to be dropped, granted I don't think he should have ever been there, but they picked him, and is 2 tests a fair crack?

Christian has to be one of the most improved cricketers going around.

Geez Christian and Ferguson were racing either other before they got to a 100. Very good partnership by them. Looks like a tough deck for the bowlers, Copeland is the sort of bowler that could break this sort of partnership but not to be so far.
