The Maestro Brings Up Century - India 1/203

Indian maestro Sachin Tendulkar continued his return to form with a brilliant century to take his side to 1/203. Tendulkar brought up his ton in 124 balls, stroking 8 boundaries in the innings and blazing 4 sixes as he confirmed his position as one of the worlds best batsmen.

The legendary batsman has taken full advantage of an Australian side missing key bowlers Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath and Brad Hogg.

Thats an amazing knock by the master blaster!!!
i think he misses his close friend McGrath ;)

But Australia has a good batting strength... Some extraordinary is required from India!!!

The Stand Continues - India 1/207

The partnership between Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag continued with the pair bringing up their 200 run partnership to take India to 1/207. Tendulkar has raced ahead with 105 while Sehwag is supporting brilliantly on 87.

Thats a great partnership!!! India without any doubts are in driver seat... They need only to continue this same form till the end!!! :cheers

Clark With The Breakthrough - India 2/211

It took 204 runs but finally Australia came through with the breakthrough wicket to leave India still in a commanding position at 2/211. Virender Sehwag was the man to go after mistiming a hook shot off the bowling of Stuart Clark to be dismissed for 88, only 12 short of his century.

Michael Clarke took the simple catch at backward square leg after Stuart Clark beat Sehwag in pace to catch the top edge.

The Maestro In Full Swing - India 2/264

Sachin Tendulkar has had fans on the edge of their seats with one of the most electrifying innings ever seen in Australia as he took his team to 2/264. The superstar brought up his unbeaten 153 from only 147 balls as he took the young Australian bowlers to all parts of the ground with 10 sixes and 9 boundaries. It has been an airial display of the highest calibre for the man who has searched for form all series, finally producing the goods ahead of the final at Sydney next week.

wow, what an innings that has been... definitely one of his best... and sixes are more than fours... this reminds me Ponting's knock in WC2003 final!!!

Well done Sachin :clap
McGrath must be missing something ;) But lets see till the end becos of the strong batting line of Aussies!!! :happy

Dravid Falls Hunting - India 3/281

Rahul Dravid fell for only 14 in the hunt for quick runs as India lost their 3rd wicket with the score on 3/281. Ricky Ponting took a contender for catch of the series with a beauty down at deep mid on, diving to his left to take a one hander. It took Dravid only 11 balls to chalk up his 14, helping Sachin Tendulkar as India pushed to take the score into the 300's. Nathan Bracken picked up his 2nd wicket of the innings in the process.

Excellent work by good old Bracken for picking up that wicket. Very exciting stuff MWaugh. This is no doubt the best story on PlanetCricket. Absolutely sensational bud.

Laxman Fails To Contibute As India Passes 300 - India 4/306

VVS Laxman only managed to add 6 runs to the Indian total however the tourists remain in control of the 6th VB match at the GABBA. Laxman fell to Stuart Clark after facing 3 balls, chipping the ball down to Mark Cosgrove at deep mid off. However India would be delighted with the total they have built, 306 now looking along way away for an inexperienced Australian batting lineup.
