Tendulkar Shines Till The End - India 4/307

Sachin Tendulkar showed that he was still capable of performing at the biggest stage with an unbelievable 182 not out from only 157 balls to guide his side to 4/307 at the end of their allocated 50 overs at Brisbane. Tendulkar appeared to thrive on the pressure put on him from Indian media over the recent months and took to the understrengthed Australian bowling lineup.

Virender Sehwag will also be delighted with his return to form with a strong showing with 88. The vice captain also proving that the talent shines when put under the pump, however may well be dissapointed that he didnt captalise on his good start like his compatriot Tendulkar.

Damn you for being so good Tendulkar! :mad :crying

Brilliant presentation as usual MWaugh.

Good target for Aussies... i wonder now, if Aussies can get 430 and 360, why not 307.... Still a tough job ahead for Indian bowlers!!!

i think its more the batting lineup that australia has thats an issue. clarke and jaques at the top. cosgrove in the team aswell. its not your traditional aussie lineup. thanks for the responses. updates may come tonight but ive got a splitter of a headache (more of a migraine actually) so ill see what i can muster up.

yep mate... Clarke has a great record against India!! So its going to be tough anyways for Indian bowlers.Infact First 15/20 overs will be crucial for both the teams.... Lets see!!!

Also Take care mate :upray

C'mon Aussies is the cry from the crowd.(As Simon Hill would say) Take some inspiration from the Socceroos. Use that never say die attidude to your advantage ;).

The Run Chase Begins

New Australian opening pairing Michael Clarke and Phil Jaques have taken to the field as they look to chase down the 307 required for victory and topping the table in the VB one day series. It will take a huge effort for this largely inexperienced team to chase down such a large total, a good start will be crucial along with wickets in hand late in the chase.

Cant wait for this to resume anyway. A bit of a shame that a story that has almost been going for a year is stopped for a while.

Thanks mate. This story did stop for around a month a while ago, half way through the story i think. Due to the fact that i fell quite ill. But it will get picked up again. This is just too see if i can use my skills in the football field.

Oh Well dont forget to stop by and read the Cricket Stories

That wont be an issue mate. Im still the moderator :p

Wow back to cricket:D

good start to Aussies but the run rate should have been somewhere around 6.0 rpo .

clarke always bat well agnst India!!! Ponting will be dangerous if he settles down!!!

Great to see Sachin back in form. There's not really any point in him retiring I say.
It's a bit like Shane Warne if you know what I mean. He will retire on his own terms.
Smashing story.

Rain Helps Australia

A torrential Brisbane downpour has ruined any hopes of an Indian victory at the GABBA today. As the teams took their break in the sheds after Sachin Tendulkar led his side to a thumping 4/307 from their 50 overs. With India and Australia both guaranteed places in the VB series final, the outcome of this final match will not have any huge effect, however many fans may well have left disappointed at the missed chance to see Ricky Ponting?s men chase down an imposing 308 run total.

All eyes will now be fixed on the tantalising final between these nations, and with Sachin Tendulkar coming fresh off a crushing 182 not out from only 157 balls, anything could happen.
