WOW. Just realised I'm the 1000th post

because earlier in the thread i added and merged a thread together so that the poll could be edited, it means that your read as 1001st in the thread but sid was recorded as being 1000th however it would have come up on the forum as your post making it to 1000. so i guess you can share the honour. making it that much more special

CONGRATS MWAUGH!! this is easily the most entertaining story on this thread, and lets hope it sticks around for another 1000 posts!

great work mate, keep it up!

MWaugh, no compliment is enough for this story, I hope you remember me though, I've been here since the Sarfie series!

1000 posts! What can I say? Well done MWaugh :clap

Hope the story goes to the end of the schedule planned!

thanks very much for the positive responses guys. maybe some of you high class image people can help me out with something. im trying to get the vb pitch add made by aussie1st into the game but i cant because i dont have the image editing facilities. the best i can do is the vb in bmp format without the transparency. would anybody be able to make the image transparent in a form i can just straight import please? thats the only thing im waiting on to start the twenty20 match and then the vb series. thanks very much and there will be many reps for anyone who can help me.

inside tip is unfortunately kat wont play. looking to go for a bit of youth during this match. there is quite a number of changes. about 5 or 6 i think

Australia Make Changes

The Australian one day team has taken on a much more youthful look with many of its test stars rested from the Twenty20 international between Australia and India at the Gabba. Noted star players Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee and Adam Gilchrist have all been rested after impressive performances in South Africa and against India. Mark Cosgrove, Phil Jaques, Dan Cullen, Shaun Tait, Brad Haddin and Nathan Bracken make their mark on the squad.

Australian Squad
1. Phil Jaques (on debut)
2. Mark Cosgrove (on debut)
3. Ricky Ponting (c)
4. Brad Haddin (wk)
5. Michael Clarke
6. Andrew Symonds
7. Michael Hussey (vc)
8. Stuart Clark
9. Nathan Bracken
10. Dan Cullen (on debut)
11. Shaun Tait

(A blistering return to the state arena has earnt Mark Cosgrove his first call up)

(With a dissapointing test series by openers Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer, Phil Jaques has been given a chance to impress selectors)

India Play Test Stars

India have opted to continue with their form players when they take to the field for the Twenty20 international at the Gabba later tonight. The tourists have included Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh for the test, at the expense of V.V.S Laxman and paceman Irfan Pathan.

With the inform Gautam Gambhir and the blasting Virender Sehwag at the top of the order, India could have a great springboard for a big score under lights in front of a sell out crowd.

India Team
Virender Sehwag (vc)
Gautam Gambhir
Sachin Tendulkar
Rahul Dravid (c)
Sourav Ganguly
Yuvraj Singh
Mahendra Dhoni (wk)
Anil Kumble
Harbhajan Singh
Ajit Agarkar
Zaheer Khan

(Mahendra Dhoni will be one to watch for India)

(Yuvraj Singh makes his return to the side)
