Australian Universities

What course is he enrolling into?
I am very much interested in UNSW, and would like to know what are the popular courses..

@ Suren, I am interested in doing Management education, be it MBA, be it MS, or anything else. MBA currently does not suit me.
Planning to go to the Australian Universities regional office after my exams are over.

Tell me about good universities in US as well if you have done some research.

Great whats your major? you're working in CTS na?
My brother is going to UNSW to do MS this february.

Hey, how do you know that I am working in Cognizant? :)

And my major is Computer Science. And I wantedly postponed my schedule of doing MS this year. I heard that getting a part time job after going to US is hard in current situation there. So I wanted to give another year gap .. and in mean time, I will be gaining work-experience too. :)

This is tricky thing to do i.e selection of universities in MS :)

  • It depends on your Major
  • It depends on your GRE+TOEFL+Academic Score
  • It depends on any research papers whether you have done in your first degree
  • It depends on interest whether you want to work part time after joining Univ which depends on the Univ tuition fee.

This site will give you a good picture,

University Selection, rankings, profile Evaluation,,Recommendation letters, funding, assistantships,Ms in USA

:)

I've applied to UTS for MBA, and have obtained a conditional offer letter.
Now I need to clear my GMAT (550 score), and get a 6.5 band in IELTS (getting my result tomorrow :) )

Hopefully I'll be able to make it in the July semester!!

It's only for 2 years.. I'm determined to come back :)

Another update..
IELTS Results out.. got 8 band !!
9 in listening :D
8.5 in reading
8 in speaking
7 in writing

I'm happy lol ;)

congratulation Abhas, enjoy your study at Australia:happy

Damn.. Just as things were running along smoothly.. Roadblock (well.. not really).
Lol.. I'm confused now :p

Just got another conditional offer letter, this time from University of Sydney for Masters in International Business.

University of Sydney is a higher rated uni than UTS in general, while MBA is a better course than MIB.
I have received excellent reviews for MBA from UTS, while on the other hand, I'm unsure about the course rating of MIB in Uni Syd.

If anyone has any information regarding these, it would be helpful.

I'm more inclined towards MBA, so its now upto my GMAT.

Came into this thread a bit late so apologies for the late not-so-relevant post :p

Australia's education system is considered to be one of the best, I'm not sure about in uni specifically but overall it is ahead of the US and UK.

Have a mate studying in Sydney from Pakistan. He seems to think the key reason to come here was the relatively lower costs in Australia for Tertiary education, followed by the quality of the education.

UTas. The best uni in Australia. No exceptions.

What are you studying? I'm third year this year

Extremely smart decision. Almost everyone I know who went there are really clueless about what is going to happen and when? And this includes the brilliant guys as well, who in school used to be at the top.
