After the success of last year the Australian team has once again been scheduled to clash with the Johnnie Walker ACA All*Stars XI as a warm-up for the first test match against the West Indies on November 26th.

The one-off T20 fixture will be held at the Gabba on Sunday 22nd November. This will be just 11 days after the Australian One Day team returns from India, meaning it is the perfect way to adjust to the more bouncy Australian Gabba pitch and others around the nation, having been away since June.

The Australian Cricketers' Assosciation All*Stars outfit will be centred around recently retired legends Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Matthew Hayden and returning from last year, Adam Gilchrist. Since retiring each of them has played in the Indian Premier League, and through showing good form has indicated that they can still match it with the current Australian team.

Former test opening batsman Justin Langer will not return to take his place from last year. The remainder of the All*Stars team will be made up off the best domestic T20 players in Australia, and captained by Shane Warne.

It should be SA Vs All Stars. Australia are no where near the team which was in 2007 :facepalm

:facepalm Can you not read? It is a warm up game for Australia ahead of the test match summer, an exhibition game.....

One word..... Money.

They are going to get loads of gate takings, from people wanting to see the likes of Gilly, Warne, Hayden etc.

Yeah. It should be really good, annoying how it won't be in Melbourne..... :doh

That All Star team is going to kick butt, I'd definitely take it over our current T20 side.

^This.

Gilly,Warnie,Pidge, Haydos...any chance of Phillip Hughes playing for either sides? :p

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. Two opening spots up for grabs, both on the Australian team, so he won't be opening......

Unless he can slot into the middle order of the All Stars, I can't see him playing....

Its only a T20...surely he`ll play for Australia! His form in the CLT20 should really be taken into account :p. Why am I putting so much thought to an exhibition game?

Because, it's gonna be the tightest game of the summer :facepalm

An I doubt Hildo (Dildo) will care about the CLT20. Does Hughes deserve a spot ahead of Watson?

Yes. Watson is too inconsistent. Give Hughes a go at T20 cricket, to get more match experience at the top level. He`s finding his feet, and the earlier he does the better.

This match is always awesome. I remember Michael dighton for the All Stars tonking everybody all over the park, and then taking the catch of the season!

Fair enough. I'll write to Dildo then.....

I'd like to see these teams

Australia:
Warner
Hughes
Clarke (c) A grudging selection, purely because of the little symbol between those brackets
White
Watson
Michael Hussey
Haddin (wk)
Johnson
Lee
Hauritz
Siddle

IMO the All*Stars side should be made up of mostly Victorians and NSWman. Two of the best T20 sides in the world, and easily the two best in the country.....

All*Stars:
Gilchrist (wk)
Hayden
Symonds
Hodge
David Hussey
Henriques
McDonald
McKay
Warne (c)
Nannes
McGrath

If not for the legends, would have slotted in Holland and Wade....

No you got it all wrong. McGrath should open and we`ll leave Haydos to No.11, he`s getting fat with all the barbies he`s hosting.
