The only place where India is better is that No.4 position where it's between Tendulkar and Martyn. Everywhere else it's either Australia's better or it's equal.

i think if you have a look at both tendulkar and martyns last couple of years the performances have been very very even. australia are ahead by a long way. thats why they are world champions. thats why they won every series last year and thats why they are the best team in the last number of decades and that is also why this thread is pointless but will go on forever

with respect to one dayers or test ???

Both ways its India.....just becase they are out of from it doent take it away....

Everyone knew in World Cup 2003..they said Indias line up is strongest line up...

India has players with better avg and class.....ust becase ganguly is out of form ..or India is not winning dosent mean that...

Remember that :::

Class is permanent not the form.......
Hayden v Sehwag-Hayden wins
Langer v Gambhir-Langer wins
Ponting v Dravid-Dravid just
Sachin v Martyn-Sachin wins
Gantooly v Clarke-Gantooly
Laxman v Katich-Laxman just
Karthik v Gilly-Gilly with both arms tied behind his back
Singh v Warne-Warne wins
Kumble v Lee-Lee wins
Kahn v Dizzy-Dizzy wins
Nehra v McGrath-(never thought I'd say this) McGrath just.

Aus 7 wins.
India 4.

India has the best batting line up only on paper.
It crubles most of the time.

Australia because a) they play well on any pitch and b) they have something no other country has. Adam Gilchrist.
All countries play on any pitches. :D :p
But winning on any pitch counts.
I can still remember the last test vs India at Mumbai in their 2004 tour.
They were bundled out for 93 :p -They complained that the pitch was bad.
When they lost to Bangladesh,they they didn't read the conditions well.

But these are the only 2 occations where they failed.

So I Aussie lineup is the best :cool:

You're being a bit generous there
Ponting = Dravid
Sachin > Martyn, other way around on current form of course
Clarke = Ganguly
Katich > Laxman

Call that even, our openers > theirs, Gilly > anybody and our tail isn't too bad either

kelvinismyname- Katich over Laxman all the time, Katich hardly looks troubled.

Australia have the best batting line up. As they have much deeper depth than India.

You should probably learn to read

Again, there have been numerous posts in this thread saying the opposite with proof

Sachin and Dravid better than any Australian batsmen. Sehwag-fastest man to reach 3000 runs in test in number of innings+matches.
The reason Australia are world champions is also because of BOWLING! No one can match their bowling attack!

pakistan of course

S Afridi(all)
s Butt(bat)
S Malik(all)

Y Khan(bat)
A Razzak(all)

Your joking,right?Pakistan,the only form of the game,they are any good at is ODI,and that isn't the 'real' tough batting,which you can only face in test cricket.

I would say Australia have the best batting line-up. India have the most hyped batting lineup in the world. As for the comparisons, I would rate Dravid higher than Ponting. Apart from that it's Australia all the way, as much as it pains me to say so. Unless you compare Langer and Sehwag. :p That gives us a point!

Remove Afridi there
Then i would call that a good decent lineup which can bat consistently.
