Best Indian ODI XI of all Time

Dinesh Karthik
A right-hand batsman and a full-time wicket keeper, Dinesh Karthik made his ODI debut way back in 2004 infact even before MS Dhoni who is regarded as the best ever wicket-keeper batsman in the Country. In my view Dinesh Karthik was pretty unfortunate to be playing in the era of MS Dhoni as he could've got a lot of opportunities had he be playing in any other era. He was pretty calm when it came to his batting and always had the armoury of going for those big shots whenever the situation demanded. He always looked very much relaxed while playing his game. Infact, he enjoyed his game everytime he took the field playing for his Country. The above picture shows the stumping in his debut match when he stumped out the English skipper Michael Vaughan who looked threatening that day to take the match away from India. Karthik was the most underrated game changer for India who went underutilized throughout his career. He makes my team as a middle order wicket keeper batsman.

Anil Kumble
Probably one of the greatest spinners of all time and probably one of the greatest player for India if not the greatest. Anil Kumble played around 271 ODIs and took around 337 wickets at an impressive average of 30.87 considering he was a spinner who played many matches outside the sub-continent. He was a very smart bowler who bowled right-arm leg spin and was probably quicker than other spinners around the world. The greatest advantage he had with himself was his height and batsman always faced difficulty to play him due to the bounce and turn he got. He was equally smart as a Cricketer as well and was a leader he lead by examples. Although Kumble Captained India in just a lone ODI that India won but because of the leadership skills he possessed and considering he was a big match-winner for India with immense knowledge he makes my team as a leg-spinner and the Captain of the side.
