there is something known as "peaceful protest"

It's not how things work in Pakistan. Especially when protesters were being shot on sight by the military. I wish there were a peaceful outcome to all this, but the most likely circumstance is more and more escalated violence, then a dip, a lull then go back again.

Although I feel sorry for Bhutto but she was corrupt. Twice has she betrayed Pakistan after winning the elections. Surely we can't trust her again. She has a Swiss bank, and lives in a rich house outside Pakistan. Where did that Money come from? That money came from scams when she was in charge of Pakistan.

Now, people are going crazy and these are those people who don't really care about the politics but it's their idea of "fun". They burnt University computers and now those same people are going to come out on to the streets and say that Pakistan don't have resouces. Well, you won't have anything if you keep burning it.

I'm thinking to myself, what's up with us and Fire? We're burning innocent people's lives. People live off taxi driving out there and burning Taxi's is killing each individual without reason.

I feel sorry for Bhutto, but I feel even sorry for those whose lives are being taken away by these political idiots.

Bringing a salary home is one thing but taking too much of it is another. When she has been Pres. she has twice been charged for corruption.

Besides some of her internal problems in Pakistan, Bhutto essentially fostered the growth of the Taliban in Afghanistan (yes, the same Taliban that hosted Bin Laden and the Al-Quaida), incited anti-Indian terrorism in Kashmir, and called for the governor of that state to be cut into pieces. You have to feel some sympathy when anyone's life is cut so violently and unnecessarily short, but this woman was no advocate of democracy or peace.

You cannot blame Afghanistan for Al-Qaeda or even Osama Bin Laden. Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda was born out of genuine will to keep Afghanistan a nationalist country. They originally fought for the rights of the people against the invading Russians in the late 80's. Its why they were set up and why they were and are still respected so much. They gained significant financial aid from the Americans because it gave American great publicity to be shown helping the small man defending his freedom and to undermine Russia without physically getting involved tipping the Cold War over the edge.

Al-Qaeda are entirely the fault of a very short-sighted American government.

During her terms, she militarily and financially supported the Taliban, a group that hosted Bin Laden and protected him from extradition requests from the US after 1998 US Embassy bombings.
