This is a good enough pc for pretty much most of the games around and will keep you going for atleast for the next couple of years  ??

Good enough pc surely mate.

Scootstiener could speak clearer English? Because it's hard to understand some times.

BTW: Yeah, your PC will easily run Cricket 2004. In fact it would run any PC game on the shelf.
Could you get a computer like that for 200 pounds? Because that would be a great bargain in Australia!

128MB ATI RADEON 9200 GRAPHICS
Please don't tell me that's a 9200 SE- It'll still run Cricket 2004 though

In fact it would run any PC game on the shelf.
No it won't- Far Cry, anyone?? :D

Its a bit exspensive but i think its pretty good
How much is it?

And shouldn't this be in General Chat or something?

At what resolution? And what FPS? And how much AA/AF? What are your other system specs? Of course it'll run it, it's just a matter of what concessions you have to make to get it playable

It looks to me like the place that you're getting this from is a typical Dell-type company- put in a fast(ish) processor and people will automatically think it's a good computer- which in some ways it is, but don't plan on playing many games on it

Since it's not custom made, you won't get exactly what you want- do you need a DVD burner? Will you really use MS Money? And Works is just a budget version of Office, can't you ......acquire....... Office of someone you know?

Well you already know what I think, you should build it yourself but if you want a pre built system just shop around until you find what you want- and bargaining with the shop can't do any harm either

Sorry, they were supposed to be directed at tjh1989

800x600 with no AA isn't all that demanding- I ran it on the same settings, res and AA with my old GF4 MX440. The 9200SE is a cut down version of the 9200, which in itself is (from memory) only a DirectX 8.1 card. In addition to that, (also from memory) the SE is 64 bit rather than 128 bit for the normal 9200 and also has cut down memory speeds. I'm sure Far Cry graphics seem great with what you've got now (I know they were for me) but a good, medium priced card like the 9600 Pro gives you all of the DirectX 9 effects. Increasing the resolution from 800x600 to 1024x768 makes a big difference in picture quality and AA just makes it better.

The 9200 SE isn't much more than just a cheap card cashing in on the 9200 name- SE's are the worst cards of any ATI product family

Hmm,u maybe right, but i am quite satisfied with its performance.I had tested both 9200 and Geforce 4 MX 440 and selected the best among the two.I had run thorough 3D tests on both and i m definitely sure 9200 SE is better than Geforce 4 MX.

I just put that computer up to see whether it was any good at the weekend i am ringing up this computer shop which builds them and i am just going to say i want a computer that is good enough to play games and whether they could put 128MB ATI RADEON 9200 GRAPHICS into it and INTEL PENTIUM 4, 80GB HARD DISK would this be alright

would this be alright
For Cricket 2004, yes
And do you know this computer shop well? Because calling up a shop and leaving them to choose for you isn't the best plan.

Hard drives are cheap- over here a 120GB drive is only about $20 more expensive than an 80GB, but you probably don't need that space. For the processor, I'd say get an Athlon- you can probably get an equivalent one for a lot cheaper than a Pentium. And for the record, that one is by no means an outstanding computer- probably surpasses your needs though

after finally actually getting some money together the worse thing has happened whilst playing cricket in the nets today for my local team i have cracked my bat and wrecked my bads so now i have to spend som eof money on that, it seems as if there is someone out there who doesn't want me to get a new computer thanks for your help anyway

I've got absolutely no idea what you mean by that scootsteiner, please be clearer, as squiz has already said.

And, tjh1989, how can you get all of that in 200 pounds ? thats just about INR 15000. A basic pc with p4 should cost you around 28000-30000 if its branded, a little less if its assembled, a lot less if you put it together yourself.
