I got BLIC2005 for christmas & loaded the game up on my PC. But when I try to run it, it will not get past the initial loading screen & the scrolling text screen. It simply goes black & thats it ! I have to reboot the machine to get back to my desktop. here are my specs :
Athlon 1800
512 RAM
GeForce4 Ti4200 onboard grx
Windows XP Home
I have tried the following to cure my problems :
Updated my graphix driver
Reduced screen resolution / refresh rate to the minimum
Tried running the game in W98 compatability mode
I dont understand why it wont work as all other games work fine (Medal of Honour, NASCAR etc)
I'm dying to play what seems to be an excellent game, so I'm hoping that some of you guys can help me out.
Thanks in advance & Merry Christmas !

can u see brian lara logo loading screen?Bozz said:Hi
Thanks for your reply, could you let me know what you want me to take a screen shot of ? I don't know if it'll be possible to take a screen shot of the game when it hangs, because I have to reboot my machine to get back to my desktop. Unless there is a way to do this & save it whilst not being able to access anything on the PC ?
I have tried ALT CTRL + Delete but all I have in front of me is a black screen, although the cursor appears.

If u have dual boot with windows98,try on it.
Is it possible it's getting stuck on the movies? I can't remember which order the game loads in, but try renaming the 'data\movies' folder temporarily, and seeing if that makes any difference.Bozz said:Yes, the game displays the Brian Lara logo & loading swipe....then goes to the next screen which is scrolling text. It then goes to a black screen & does not proceed any further.

Also, is it crashing (locking the machine), or just getting 'stuck'?
