Bowlers mixing it up?

Afridi(Leg Spin and Off Spin), Symonds(Off Spin and Medium Pace-Think he did do it this VB Series), Tendulkar(Leg Spin, Off Spin and Medium Pace) and of course Gary Sobers(Everything)

Afridi is a talented man - i'd forgotten about him. I really enjoy watching him play, especially batting in odi's.

Here here.

He's worth the cost of admission by himself

isnt sehwag a bit similar?
A bit, but he can't hit sixes from the word go and mix Leggies ant 90kph with Offies at around 70 with Googlies etc. and bounce a batsman in the same over....

Afridi sometimes bowls leg spin, offspin and medium pace all in the same over. I wouldn't be suprised if Andrew Symonds has mixed it up as well

nah miller mixed up his medium pace and off spinners

I wouldn't say medium pace for Afridi as the ball does turn for him. he is just a very quick leggie who can turn the ball quite a bit.

Symonds appears to have 3 styles; long run-up medium pace, short run-up medium pace and off-spin. I believe the short run-up is when he needs to get through the overs quickly but when off spin is unsuitable.

His faster ball has no spin at all on the ball i thought

I doubt it. I have seen him bowl a bouncer which spun a bit, anbd a flat quicker one which spone a bit.......

Gary Sobers, as ZoraxDoom correctly stated, bowled a bit of everything ;)

so atm symonds, afridi,sobers,miller,tendulkar,B.S. Chandrashekhar, ormond ; is this the beginning of an all time XI side that could virtually play against any top side?

Hmm.. was there ever a WK that bowled at all in his career? This could be the making of an interesting team.

Plenty. Although it's rare they do it succesfully.

Alfred Lyttelton once took 4/19 in an Ashes Test bowling underarm lobs. But the best wicketkeeper/bowler of all time is easily Tatenda Taibu of Zimbabwe. Check out these stats:

Tests: bowled once took 1/27
First Class: 22 wickets, average 19.59, best of 8/43
ODI: 2 wickets, average 30.5
Limited Overs: 12 wickets, average 23.08, best of 4/25
Under 19s ODIs: 12 wickets, average 10.75, best of 4/30
