I've use up+right and a normal shot and also right and a normal shot to sweep, they give different looking sweep shots. They have to be timed dead on, and I've only played them to spinners.

I've hooked just a couple of times, to fast short pitched deliveries.

You still can miss time a sweep shot, I edged one, but it was dropped.

Doesnt make sense to me..You time the shot perfectly to get the sweep shot,only to miss time it ?? So,basically,whether the shot is timed correctly or miss timed is decided by the ai and not by the user.Isnt it so ??

No, it's decided by the user. There is a very small window in which to time the sweep shot, if you miss it by just a tiny little bit, you can miss-time it, especially when the batsman's confidence is low.
