Usually graphics card related. I suggest making sure you have the most up-to-date drivers and checking your card is supported.

Barmyarmy, I have a FX5200, updated and it does support it.

But I require a Direct X 9 SOUND card... How do I know if I have it or not?

Go to the download centre and download a program called System Analyser. That should tell you if you are lacking anything you need.
