Bring Back Duff

Guys ! Duff aint coming back(as a staff)....even if he did...he would've lost all the trust of the staff..so we have to make our peace with that !

and i think it was a right decision...cause, it would have been very difficult for duff to continue working smoothly with other staff because of this.

what i really want to know from the staff is :

Have you people thought of any adaptive approach to tackle this problem
or are you gonnna ignore duffs views completely ?

People are just continualy repeating already asked Questions, if you can't be bothered to read the 17 page's about the whole arguement. Then just leave for our sakes!

Ok, since the thread is going on and lots of members have posted their opinions I'll open up a bit too. I think Duff got his views bang on, only bad thing would be that he could have raised the issue first in staff forums as trust is all that we have with our colleagues. But by posting his views in public thread, Duff has ensured that a lot of other members open up a bit and express their concerns. Still a little apology from Duff will go a long way and will make him a lot better person. Leaving that aside, yes there has always been a bit of hypocrisy in the forums but lets not dig up graves since I don't like mod-bashing, what happened in the past is past. And as time passed I have lost my interest from Cricket chat and general forums for reasons I best not mention. The only reason I visit Planetcricket is my commitment to cricsim and to say hi to some good friends I have made here. And despite whatever happens at Planetcricket, those are the only reasons I will keep visiting this site. But it sure can do well by easing a bit on implementation of rules.
Overall, admins have done a good job in running this site and a very special thanks to Duff for keeping us entertained so far and hope he continues to do so. He has my full support.

Is this a bad thing, most of the users who say theyl leave are the bad ones anyone with the exception of 1-2
How can you say who is a good member ? Infact by this post you have proved ( atleast to me ) that you're not a good member since you dont respect other's views. I dont know how many people agree with me on this.

To the PlanetCricket community,

As necessary due to the events that have recently unfolded, I hereby wish to address everyone regarding my current standpoint on the matter and what is in store for the future.

I respect and fully accept my demotion which entailed the removal of my staff and administrational privileges. In addition, I apologise to the staff for the way I addressed the recent issue to the PlanetCricket members. I know it will take a long time for our relationships to mend but I have no doubt that we can move on from this.

Please be assured that the PlanetCricket staff are doing an exceptional job and hopefully I leave the state of the forums in a positive light. I also urge the PlanetCricket members to keep up the fantastic work because without you this forum would be nothing.

I hope everyone has enjoyed my humour and friendliness. I have tried my hardest in giving everyone a fair-go and also endeavoured to moderate and post at the best of my ability.

The future is bright for PlanetCricket and I know that it will continue to prosper far into the future. Regarding myself, I will continue to work on the Youth Cluster Podcast and post on the forums from time to time.

PlanetCricket has been a large part of my life for the last four year and has been a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs. I wish PlanetCricket community every good fortune and I’d like to thank every single person who has supported me along the way and made my time here enjoyable.

After pouring my heart and soul into PlanetCricket for such a long time, unfortunately it is time for me to part from this wonderful forum. This was not an easy decision and it took a great amount of consideration. I feel that I need to have a fresh start and a change of environment. I don’t believe I belong here anymore and that a new beginning is essential.

Over my time here I have had many great memories that I will forever cherish. I have also made many friends to whom I owe my thanks to. We have made it through many hard times and you people know who you are. Thanks to everyone at PlanetCricket, it has been a pleasure working with you.

So I suppose it is time to bid a farewell. Before I do I’d like to share a few words.
Please don’t feel sad for me leaving; such is life. Some people need to move onto bigger and better things – there’s always a brighter day. The world would be a better place if we all got along and had fun. Everyone should listen and respect one another. Everyone is equal and should be treated with dignity.

In closing, it would be fitting steal another quote from Stargate SG-1, ‘One last jaunt through the old orifice.’
As this will be my last moderation on PlanetCricket and I hope it will be a memorable one.

[Duffarama’s body suddenly starts to glow, and he begins to ascend toward the sky as everyone watches.]

Farewell PlanetCricket. I'm gonna miss you guys. Thank you. For everything.

So, what? See you around?

I don't know.

[Duffarama turns and walks up the ramp.]

Hey… where are you going?

I don't know.

[Duffarama walks through the Gate and disappears as the PlanetCricket community watches.]

Yours Sincerely,
Duffarama

Greetings PlanetCricket. I've missed you guys. Thank you. For everything.

So, what? You are back?

I don't know.

[Duffarama turns and does a 360 back-flip summersault through the air whilst being incinerated by the Earth’s atmosphere.]

Hey… why are you back?

I don't know.

[Duffarama hits the ground with an impact velocity of 1842m/sec and attains a serious, life-threatening injury as PlanetCricket community watches.]

Duff Man can’t breathe. Oh no.

Duff… wake up! Duff?!

[Ste flashes duffarama his trench coat.]

I knew that would capture your attention.

It was… inevitable.

Welcome home, Duff. Welcome home.

[Duffarama stands up slowly and boldly, and walks with Ste into the distance. On the sunny horizon, complimented with rainbows and tulips, the PlanetCricket community is visible… awaiting the return of duffarama.]

I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you.

Do you hear that? They are calling for you Duff. Don’t be afraid. Now go. They need you. We need you. You are the one.

I have imagined this moment for so long. Is this real?

Indeed.

Yours Sincerely,

Duffarama
