The new prototype of the NASA remote controlled bat was yesterday tested for the first time. A spokesman, Mr Harvey Grumbleweed said that initial tests were positive. Replying to the question whether he thought this would make many batsmen obsolete he said: "No worries there as most of the batsmen from the sub-continent have made themselves obsolete anyway..."
A number of orders have already been received from various countries including an order for a whole team full from the Indian Cricket Board.
Trials of a talking remote controlled bat continue and Indian administrators are excited by the prospect of one of their batters actually having something intelligent to say. They are also excited by the fact that the bats come with pre-loaded excuses.
