Did you see the game? OK, Ronaldo scored a wonder goal fit to win any game, but Rooney worked his arse off as usual, Vidic and Rio were once again the solid Twin Towers at the back, Anderson played well in midfield and Van der Sar was nice and alert when he needed to be! So no, we don't depend on Ronaldo. If we hadn't won that game, it would've been the wrong result.
That only one stunner saved Man U today otherwise Porto would have done it. Porto deserved to be in semi final, they played better than United.
Rubbish! We were easily the best team tonight. The Utd that played at Old Trafford wasn't the real Utd. This wasn't either, but it sure was a huge step towards it, especially defensively. But overall, we were looking like a team again, as Mr Souness said in the Sky studio. Our passing was better, more fluid and the team just had more about them! Someone suggested that maybe Sir Alex had said at some point before tonight's match: 'We're Man Utd, for goodness sake. We're the European and World Champions, let's just go out there and win that game!'
Anyone who saw that game knows that it was the right result tonight.
