Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

Ya, I am talking about Category 1 ticket(VIP). You don't feel comfortable at Dynamo Stadium with Category 2 ticket. You only see this price when they play with English or French clubs.

A great couple of nights of Champions League football so far for me, Liverpool need Gerrard and Torres to create their chances otherwise they won't win, Arsenal played poor towards the end and it's their own fault they got the draw, Manchester United played very well tonight, it should've been more than one and Berbatov will be winning the Oscar, Emmy and the BAFTA for that performance. Oh yeah and Ibrahimovic is god.

What a win for Milan they where the better team in the 2nd half and should have won 4-2

Pirlo, once again showed why he is one of the best players in World :hpraise Madrid, same as usual .......... Joke :laugh

Come on one game doesn't make him bad. He has been working his socks off for us since signing up.

Milan were nothing for the first 60 minutes but I then scored a fantastic goal through Pirlo which kinda shook us. Casillas making a rare mistake for their second and Pato getting the third as well.

We have never done well against Italian teams and that trend continues.

End of the day, we're still level with Milan.

Very nice result for us on a God-awful pitch (the bounce reminded me of Fifa 10 PC :D ) and it was far too high as well. We stuck with it and got a deserved goal - bit concerned to see yet another airkick from Owen. He needs a nice run of goals to get him started - hopefully starting at Anfield on Sunday (if he starts, that is).

MasterBlaster76 added 0 Minutes and 25 Seconds later...

Whenever a class player lands in Madrid, he is finished.

It wouldn't be the first time... :D

Both full backs for Madrid are poor. I'm sorry but Marcelo and Ramos are not good enough for their current positions and Pepe looks dodgy as well.

Kaka had a decent game last time but the AC Milan players know him and his movement better than anyone else. I think the draw was the safest result for both teams and a fair outcome last night. Marseille are back in the running but I think it will be us and the Italians to go through now.

Ha ha, unfair penalty. People do complain most of times that Referee misses hand ball near penalty area but yesterday was crazy. He spotted two times handball and both times he was wrong. He was in decent position when penalty was given but it was even hard to judge with Slow motion replays. I Only watched the Highlights but simply loved the CSK Moscow's game.
Hope Kazan would do something spectacular against Barca tonight. I want at least one Russian team to enter in knock out stages. Temperature at Central Stadium, Kazan will be around -4 degree C tonight. :D

I'll tell you one thing. The Russians teams are damn good. Despite losing some of their key players in recent years, they still manage to put out good teams. I've always thought the European calender is unfair to the Russian sides as it does not match completely with their domestic calender. But all in all, we have seen some good Russian club sides come out and shock some of the big boys of Europe. I remember Lokomotiv Moscow playing so well against us a few seasons back. CSKA and Spartak after that, Zenit St Petersburg recently and now Rubin Kazan.
