Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

I can't flipping believe what I witnessed. Chelsea, you have one less hater.

RESPECT. CHEERS FOR THE BLUES. It's their moment.

And finally, a German missed.:p

Congrats to Chelsea fans, although I myself liked them a bit for their ultra-defensive tactics.

----------

Bayern had lost it after Drogba header. They never looked like a CL Finalist.

Neuer and Gomez were their main performers. Gomez was horrible tonight and Neuer did do his best.

----------

And Chelsea do somewhat deserve this, considering that they defeated Bayern at home, the same stadium in which they won versus Real and thrashed Basel.

Unlucky Spurs fans. :(

Yeah Neur indeed looks a great GK. Never knew much about him till today. I liked his way of distracting penality shooter too.

Anyways congrats to Chelsea. Great win as we all expected.

Anyone see Di Matteo on the way up. Some guy tried to give him a hug, but Robbie just ignored him and went straight to Roman haha Bloke looked gutted :p

Oh well, it was all fun when it lasted. End of the day, you throw away a 12 point lead in 3rd, you make your own bed.

We got screwed the year Liverpool won it. A "qualifier" against the eventual semi-finalists.
Bad luck Spurs but can't beat the last two weekends for drama.

By the way, if Bertrand and Hutchinson are getting a Winners medal, then I'd like one too please :)

I know right :p
Also lmao, Di Matteo was just down the road from us dragging the Albion down just under a year ago, now look where the guy is! Unbelievable would be putting it mildly. I am of the opinion that he and Chelsea thoroughly deserve the The Cup with the Big Ears solely through their raw grit and determination to defy the odds in front of the roaring Bavarian Crowd. Also, anyone watching Sky Sports hear about when Villa also broke Bayern's hearts in Rotterdam 30 years ago? :p And Cahill, a product of the Villa youth system! :D

Drogba leaving Chelsea? What a way to go if he is. Monstrous performance once again, as he has done so many times in his career in the big games.

Fair play to Gary Cahill. I've been one of his biggest critics but he's really stepped up his game for the level he's moved up to.

Now Chelsea can't get carried away with this win, they still have to move on, despite what this group of players have achieved.

also, please please please sign Modric Utd. I've been asking this for 2 years. :p

Enough football. I'd have a visit to the hospital to get my immune system checked.

Nerve wrecking month. :clap

On the other hand Muller and Ribery's substitutions swayed the balance. Chelsea actually eased up in the later half. How gutting would it be for Hynecks to sub a likely match winner with 8 minutes to go which was unnecessary and end up as runners-up.

Ribery, respect him but he's plain disgusting. It's good to play smart to win chances for the club but he's a total moron today and got well served. His ankle problem also looks like he forced himself into wasting time. But these two men's subs really cost Bayern, maybe could've summed it up under 90 minutes time.

Not like you would have played the group stages either way. You still started from the third qualifying round, while we started from the first...

Yeah, do it now Fergie! Roman's going to be in a good mood - he might feel like splashing some cash to celebrate. ;)

Edit: Correction to my previous post: a caretaker manager who's bought home the Champions League and FA Cup
