Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

I feel bad for Dortmund tbh, they played so well, deserved a win. Now to our performance, one word, abysmal. Finishing 3rd in this group will be a huge achievement for us.

Dortmund fans are fantastic. Noisy throughout and kept the atmosphere lively with some entertaining stuff. Atmosphere in City was dull as compared to Old Trafford.

We had an OK game, looked shaky in the first half but came back well. Gervinho looking good as usual and Cazorla amazing as well.

Other than the Chelsea game, I'm sure it's been either Santi or Gervinho as MoM every time we've played.

Also, that Isco kid is looking really something special for Malaga. Sure to be one of the hottest properties in Europe over the next two seasons.

Borussia Dortmund are undefeated in 33 of their last 34 matches in the Bundesliga. Mancini is way out of his depth and league in the CL. He gets outsmart and out foxed by almost every manager in the CL. City should really get rid of him as his Italian style when the chips are down bring on two destroyers won't get city further than a league title

I've been predicting the rise of the german teams for a while, the financial fair play rules, if properly enforced by UEFA (or fifa, or whoever) will only help them.

they've ran their clubs far better than english, italian and spanish ones over the last decade and they now look to be producing their own star players with more regularity and it will become harder for other leagues to poach them.

Both sides have been exposed if i'm to be fair. However i know Evra has some semblance of defensive acumen in his game, while Rafael hasn't displayed such skills in his career.
Rafael had a slow start to the season but he's been very good since the Southampton game.

Fraser Forster should be playing for a top premier league club.

+1.

Couldn't understand how did Newcastle let him easily depart to Celtic. An under-rated goalkeeper he is.

I really didn't want to believe that Mancini was crap in Europe at first, but now... I'm done man, 3-1 to Ajax(as of right now), that's as low as it gets, at least for a team that we are trying to be. :noway

Ajax 3-1 Man City - CITY OUT AGAIN :D

Arsenal 0-2 Schalke 04 - And than they say we don't need RVP HAHAHAHA

Borussia Dortmund 2-1 Real Madrid - RM fans-Ref was on Dortmund site :D
