Through Burley I have just heard that Lille have appealed against the legitimacy of Ryan Giggs's goal. They have asked for the game to be replayed and the appeal is to be heard on Friday by Uefa.

It can't be replayed. when we were knocked out last year against Benfica they passed the ball back to the keeper and he picked it up starting the move in the crucial goal. UEFA told soccer AM the game couldn't be replayed so either Platini is biaist towards the French or they can follow the rules like everyone else

Talking of pass backs, anyone see that one we got when Valdez picked it up 7 yards off his line? We ended up taking it from the edge of the area! Referee tonight was absolutely appaling, allowed Barcelona players to initimidate them and gave stupid fouls. Also heard Mike Riley gave 11 yellows

I agree ^.The refereeing was very poor.Soft,and Barca got the best of the calls(Momo Sissoko and Agger yellow cards were rubbish.Deco should have got a yellow for a foul against Bellamy-No foul).I was really happy to see Liverpool get the win tonight(Please dump those cheating *******s out)!They outplayed Barca in the second half,and missed some good oppurtunities.Saying that,Barca had some good chances too...

There's no way on Earth that UEFA can replay the game, the ref said that we can take the free kick so thats the end of it. Its them that should be punished.

If Platini starts supporting clubs of his own nationality he wont be in the job long.

Barcelona haven't been great all season to be honest, but full credit to the scousers. To go to the Nou Camp and win is an incredible feat, but we'll bring them back down to Earth a week on Saturday.

No British club is really out of the CL yet, although I believe Milan will be way too much for Celtic in the San Siro.

To be honest, I'm not suprised it was an English ref that gave the record number of bookings, our refs are pretty awful to be honest. Our 'supposed' best ref makes a horrendous mistake in the biggest football competition of them all, that sums it up.

December 04! I remember I actually wanted Chelsea to win that game because I thought that Arsenal would be a bigger threat to Utd as Chelsea hadn't won the premiership before.

Henry's done it plenty of times before but them games are not replayed, United get made an example of unfairly, Rio got banned for 9 months when other people have actually tested positive and only been banned for 3 or 4 months.

In my humble opinion :

CELTIC - OUT
CHELSEA - THROUGH
ARSENAL - THROUGH
LIVERPOOL - THROUGH
UNITED - THROUGH

Chelsea will be too good for Porto, United will crush Lille at home, L'Pool will hold Barca and Arsenal will probably find something and win 2-0. Celtic will lose 2-1 or something like that. AC aren't the force they once were, Gilardino and Oliveria are nowhere near as good as Sheva was.

Maybe,but you obviously missed the boro fans (And Arsenal bashers) go mental because Henry took an early free-kick which just missed(1-1 draw last year).It's double standards! :
