Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

Yes me too. Even though I support Stuttgart, Chelsea and Fiorentina, Madrid has always been my first team.

Disappointed with the loss, yes. Cant take losing to Bayern especially on away goals, and I hope Chelsea draw and beat the Germans in the QFs. I was so excited when Ramos scored but was disallowed for handball. It would been a spectacular finish.

Guess its back to the league for us and the big game with Barca this weekend.

Well yet again we dominate miss a series of easy chances, then give away from a free-kick.New that would happen.Devestated
Things that need work:
1.Goal Scoring-actually put the some of the many chances we have in the back of the net(Make Fabregas practice shooting non-stop for a 24 hours)
2.We may as well give away our Corners and Free-kicks.We are useless at them. The only person who seems to be able to hit one is Henry.
3.Defending-Hit on the break,High balls,closing down,tracking back.

yeah but we're better than them :p Liverpool we'd be too stong at home for,Roma,PSV and Valencia we're just too good and Milan aren't the force they once were. Munich i would still feel we had the chance to beat and Chelsea would be very close but we've proven in the league we're more than a match for them too
I'm sure Barca thought they'd be too strong for Liverpool at home too :p

Well full credit to PSV for taking their chances. They are a good side who despite having not played their best soccer are in the last eight.

Man Utd, Chelsea and Milan had relatively easy draws in this round.

European specialists is what I am beginning to call Liverpool. They might do a 2005 again but I am confident about Chelsea.

Somebodys got to get it right! I'm just going on what we did to them earlier in the season but if Fergie plays 4-5-1 and we don't stop getting these injurys then Liverpool could definately beat us over 2 legs

Its different in Europe and England. As was the case when Chelsea beat Arsenal in 2004 after losing in the Premiership to their Northern rivals.

Milan are through, and i don't suppose theres much point in me predicting games when there miles off and we don't know whos playing. United-Liverpool final would be great though, the atmosphere would be immense

I really feel like kicking Capello out of madrid right now! Just SACK him, what on earth is 20 million dollars or what ever the price is! I was about to brake my LCD by throwing my shoe to his face :mad

Another shocking thing was that Arsenal lost as well! I was like . Bad luck for Celtic with Kaka scoring in extra time!

I hope now somebody just kicks the germans arse out of quarter finals :upray:upray!

I hope it's us so we get someone good in the semis if we get there. Bayern deserved to get there though they got a good result at the Bernabeu and outplayed Madrid tonight. Emerson had a shocker...

What do you mean by us ? Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool?

Well a defensive minded Italian can never manage a traditionally attacking club like Real Madrid. I hope he leaves too.

Personally I would prefer the English teams to get foreign clubs. We get to see Liverpool v Man Utd or Man Utd v Chelsea or Liverpool v Chelsea at least twice a season as it is. Personally I like European nights where teams from 2 different leagues clash much more.

OMg did anyone see Kaka'z winning goal... OMG he is an absolute beast atm he is way better than ronaldinho...
Milan through... and hoping they go all the way now...

Kaka is class no doubt. But Ronaldinho is far more versatile and effective.
