Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

Disapointing loss by Liverpool, they got through but they had a lot of chances.... ecspeically the one were the goal keeper wasn't even in the goal and he missed his first opportunity to score for liverpool  he aint gonna get a better chance than that!

I don't know who that fool ^ goes for but he's obviously an idiot. We have arguably the most talented squad in the League and around the World. If we could finish we'd be challenging Man U this season. That shows we need to work, but have everything needed to be one of the best sides the Prem has seen.
I fully admit that Arsenal on their day play the most attractive soccer you can see. But I'm afraid that isnt quite enough for winning a league or a trophy. Sometimes you need to change your style and strategy according to the situation or opposition. Arsenal arent able to do that. Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea can.

Arsenal have missed Fabregas this season, he's been quite poor. I also feel their wingers haven't done the job with Hleb performing once in a while but showing bits of brilliance in many/most games.

I'd disagree sureshot.Fabregas has one of the best assist tallies in the prem and has played very well this season. He of course has had his off days, but he is qaulity.Though to reach that next level he needs to put away the chances he does get(And there are certainly enough when playing for Arsenal).

Cesc has had one or two bad games this season. He is absolute class. If he was English you'd be comparing him with Beckenbaur.

who cares that arsenal might win the league in a couple of years... now they may say look towards the future but other teams will improve aswell, im sure uniteds youth policy will come through and they will be equally strong.

PS. Get some english players

Yeah, with the likes of Richardson and Lupoli you'll be dominating europe! We have a huge amount of British players in our youth ranks.I think we supply a large majority of Youngsters to the young england squads.Anyway,it doesn't really bother me.English players simply aren't technically good enough.Once a few more cheaper Walcotts come through we'll snap them up.

Pretty big game tonight, second game of the season for us away to PSV. We got a 0-0 last time and I expect nothing worse tonight, and if we could nick a goal it would be great for the return at Anfield. The fact that Momo is suspended doesn't help a lot, but Mascherano showed on Saturday he can do his job just aswell. Crouch better start :upray.

Who won the youth cup semi final again? United, and it's a United-Liverpool final. Also doesn't Lupoli play for you? Anyway come on united tomorrow night, lets make it a treble season. If Ronaldo and Rooney decide that they want to play properly in European football then it should be us through to the semis

Massive game tonight. I'd be happy with a 1-1 draw, as long as we get at least 1 away goal and dont lose then that'll be fantastic and I'll be confident of getting through back at OT.

Chelsea at home to Valencia tonight as well. They really need a 2-0 or 3-0 scoreline to make it easier for them in Spain.

Roma 2-1 Man Utd...Roma had some great great chances to put this match to rest but they didn't take them and really they should have it all but won by now...this scoreline is gonna make it a lot harder for them at OT...

Chelsea 1-1 Valencia...Valencia getting that all important away goal and they will be all but smiles if the scoreline stays the same...

Rooney.Wait did i see he scored. He must be the best player in the world now.Hopefully i've missed the Manc blow-up(One of many about Rooney).

I meant the guy you loaned to Newcastle.

Guiseppe Rossi, Sachin?

Two big games for us MIllwall away then Rotherham at home.

Did you know that Forest have only failed to score twice since the beginning of November? Impressive.

Jesus its 4-0 after 43 minutes in Manu v Roma!!
