Post Line-ups Champions League XX - Round 3 - 'Must win match' as the bottom-two collide...

And, the most important question is that who is organizing the 14th edition?
I believe that it'd be either VC the Slogger, The Author or Umair2000, or maybe the other managers who can organize a good league would be The BigGgamer, Ahmad94, Neer. ,or maybe me?. Or maybe some old managers would come and organize it. Like Simon, Swirler or whoever it is.

That's probably me, I guess. I'll gladly step aside if Author changes his mind, or someone like Aggz/swirler turns up, because they're the only ones I've noticed with realistic-ish (hard to get totally realistic results in cricsim) player ratings for 50-over matches among currently active managers.

No offence to the others, they're good but just ain't got enough of it yet. Given your own realistic HK 6s ratings, I'm sure you could get a hang of 50-overs cricket too one day. When you do, I'll be the first to vote for you.

Hell with the Champions League Rules. This is what should happen.
Group A
LSL Team (@Neer.)
ELA Team (@VC the slogger)
Indian Team (@ThebigGgamer)
ELB Team (@Neer.)
Zimbabwe Team from where ever

Group B
CPL Team (@Mr Nokkaya)
PSL Team (@Ahmad94)
South African Team (@ThebigGgamer)
New Zealand Team from where ever.
BPL England Team (@ThebigGgamer)

And then there should be qualifiers. From the leagues pf people who are begging for a place in Champions League. Two teams should get a chance. The team to go to group A and then the second top team to go to Group B or something like that.

But Seriously, this would give every person a chance for
Qualifiers
Two European Associate Teams
A Team from my League
A Team from @Umair2000 PSL
A Team from @EARAgAV Adidas Real League
A South African team of what @Umair2000 is Talking about.
And teams of those managers that are organizing good leagues (no matter, which country it is).

This should be the logic used. Not the "Old Leagues Have An Upper Hand Over The New Ones". But if you have like 8 or 10 teams in the qualifiers then I believe that the qualifiers should have two groups and two teams should qualify from each group.

You guys don't have brains

Don't know about previous managers, but I did bring up a qualifiers idea for second/third choice teams in the last page. Including more than 1/2 teams from different leagues of the same nation in a CL season could be tricky because they might have too many domestic/international player clashes.

They could always be put into different groups, but I'm not a big fan of groups when there's just 10 teams or so. CPL is dormant and ELBD ain't happening. I'll go with groups if there are at least 12 qualified teams.

And I'd love to see VC hosting another season. (if you know what I mean)

I think it's got something to do with me being here for as long as you can remember, or your (and Samuels') team winning the previous edition. I'm not quite sure which.

This one but I'd love to see others winning this season but who knows my luck works this time as well? :spy

Thanks for the vote. But seriously, there should've been a long term planing for this league because organizing Champions League is no walk in the park. If you're the one with the qualifier idea than you are a genius. I have a serious desire to help you. I believe that the host nation for this year should be Pakistan or UAE because both of them haven't had a single edition hosted before. It's your choice, I was just suggesting. Getting the ratings right ain't a hard thing if you give some time and thoughts when you're making a database. I would seriously love to make the fixtures if you want. But I guess that, who am I in front of You.

Hawking is a genius. I am not.

You don't need any so-called "long term planning" or whatever for managing leagues. They are fictional and people with weird hobbies such as myself just run them for fun while we secretly work towards becoming good enough for our dream jobs. I mean, most of my league ideas have come to me while I'm taking a dump or stealing my cousin's cookies. Or, people like @The Author, @Samuels drop 'em on my head sometimes. My latest one i.e the CWG came after I noticed it's doodle. So it's best not to take 'em too seriously.

Fixtures can be easily generated through the online generator. And I know how to make cricsim speak my language. I've visited cricinfo so many times that I don't even need to look most of the players' profiles to see what they're like with bat or ball. I also calculate my own stats every time. So, it think I've got that covered. But thanks for the offer.

You can throw in your suggestions though. I'm totally fine with that. I like some of your ideas and will be happy to use them in some way or the other. Although, making Pakistan host the tournament will be very unrealistic given that it's currently sort of a no-go zone for most international cricketers. I'm sure the situation must have improved a great deal since the dreadful 2009 incident, but I'm not a fan of hosting big albeit fictional tournaments there until I see an renown international team tour. Also, I know next to nothing about what the pitches are like over there. It'd be great if someone could fill me in on this even if the tournament's not likely to be hosted there.

UAE, Pakistan's adopted home could be a good choice. I've also been getting some good results while simulating matches on flat tracks, so India-SL-Ban could be another option. It's also been almost 8 seasons since the CL was last played in England, so that's another option along with the Caribbean & Americas. I'll have a poll to decide it when the season officially starts.

But I guess that, who am I in front of You.

I didn't get this last part. What do you mean by this? I'm no egotist, and hanging around on some forum for a length of time is no considerable achievement the way I see it. Save it for later, assuming everything goes according to plan in my life and I actually make it big somehow in real life..
