Crap league. I started hating this league since the time 4 IPL teams where allowed and then Mumbai was allowed 5 overseas and now this. Direct Entry to 4th team

Although 4th team does get the entry as Mumbai were 4th and they were champions last time hence 4 teams from IPL

If India wants to find good talent for future they have to play a team with all the domestic players in it and no overseas player. It is fine in IPL but when you are going for CLT20 you need to have all the players from your country.

People say IPL is to give domestic player experience of international level. Ok, they will get it but when will they show if they have actually learned something or not? They actually need a quality side to prove what they are made of.

I am getting your point about changing the champion team. Though my only concern is that how will those domestic Indian players will get any practice against a champion side which they really need.

Well there are plenty of tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy, Deodhar Trophy, Duleep Trophy, NKP Salve Challenger Series, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (20 over tournament), Vijay Hazare Trophy, etc. to groom the Indian domestic players.
IPL does a perfect job of getting these players used to high expectations and large crowds.
Moreover, your point of grooming Indian domestic players by a 20 over tournament is itself pathetic.

Pathetic? I don't think so. We don't only play long format in cricket. There are certain players who are specialized for shorter format of the game and I am talking about grooming those players. Don't bring them to the test matches.

For so many years we had only these domestic competitions and India has produce several legends of the game. Not just India, every nation has the same procedure and format for domestic cricket; leagues like IPL and CLT20 did not exist and now that you say that domestic players need such leagues to become quality players is absolutely rubbish and meaningless.
