Codemasters Lied to us. Proof for the same

You are quite welcome to air your views, but please find an existing thread. If you have something new to say then by all means start a new thread but if you just want to rant about how bad the game is then use an existing rant thread like this one.

A patch is more likely than last time though. The game is in-house developed this time.

Now dont count on that. I have been informed that the development team have already stopeed working on the game and they wouldnt look back :crying

Have they started on BLIC 08, or are they taking a break?

If it's that easy, why didn't they care about it ?

Its not like that. When you spend years for developing the game even the baddest ( degree reduced as its a public place :p ) thing would look like perfect to you. Understand there philiosophy. The way in which they take cricket games and we take are different.

Let me be very honest, we are just a bunch of people at this forum who think that cricket games are made crap and the AI needs to be much more realistic. We dont know that more than 90% gamers are happy with the Cricket games they recieve. Codemasters and EA know this and they do use this thing in their favour. If they are selling out to 90% people why would they care of us 10 % ? ( They really shouldnt, thats what business says. )

All the images I was on the web compare to what the game looks like on my pc (or the demo anyway). It's not codemasters fault if your graphics card isnt up to the job.

May be these 10% are the members of planetcricket and that's why we know their opinion. What about those 90% , who are not the members of PC? How do we know their opinion? May be most of them also feel the same as we do. You can never tell.

But the general attitude tells that. We have 20000 Pc members, out of which hardly 100 are daily posters here ( Correct me please if i am wrong here ) , and the rest of the pc members dont bother to come up and protest. Why ? Because they simply dont care. I've lots of friends, in india and abroad, and all of them say that they want games just to enjoy, and wouldnt look into the broader aspect of how the game can be improved. We do because we have done it before and we like the game differently.

where did you hear this?

if this is true, it is amazingly bizarre..how a dev team "wouldnt look back" just after the game release is inexplicable..especially when it has taken an apparent interest in the fan feedback (e.g. by inviting fans, or following discussions on forums etc which the devs said inspired many of the features in this version).

Given how much potential the game has, if the bugs can be easily fixed, wouldnt it make perfect sense for them to patch the game and appease fans, and mainly boost sales? instead of just moving on, which wud be rather strange

I think all these game companies need to invest some time and effort in getting some game testers of worth. Its not only BLIC 2007 that has poor AI, but more and more games coming onto the market are falling at the way side as they rely on online play for the challenge and the AI factor comes a poor second.

They don't bother/care to post (not protest).

Again, it's not about your friends only. We know the games are crap but we still buy them. why? Because we love cricket, not Codies and EA.

Well, if we all started returning our copies, maybe Codemasters would think about a patch then? No one likes being hit in the pocket!
