Commonwealth Bank Series

he's struggled with the left hand bowlers so he might be more conservative against bracken. he's swept Lee a couple of times before but i think Lee knows how to deal with it now.the run rates getting to low fo the powerplays at the moment although the spinners could be crucial on this wicket.

Joyce gone. another opening partnership that doesn't reach 50. hope Bell can score big today because he's looked in really good nick but hasn't scored a massive score yet

Well Loye is meant to be the aggressive one but he ain't doing much and it looks like that pressure built up on Joyce as hes out now. That should give McGrath some confidence again.

we've failed to take advantage of the third powerplay and we need o in these 2 or we will be under a lot of pressure on a wicket with turn. Loye can explode at any time and that's our hope

Mal Loye is playin well at the moment, probably his best start for the England side in this series

I wouldn't worry too much, you guys were 1/90 after 20 overs in Sydney last time and made 292. And as you said Loye is still there so he can up the tempo.

he seems to be doing that now. Bell can score quickly too and at this stage one big over can change the rate. Gilly standing up to the stumps to McGrath, maybe McGrath is getting old!

rain!!! the game was nicely poised there too

Bugger there is that rain :( Hope we don't lose too many overs to it as this was shaping up to be another ripper.

I had feeling rain might happen sometime in the afternoon or evening and there is no doubt about that either.

Bureau of Meteorology Website said:
There is a slow moving rain band over the southeast NSW with embedded thunderstorms. Very heavy rain is expected to cause localised flash flooding in the Sydney Metropolitan area, the Hunter, Illawarra, South Coast and about eastern parts of the Southern and Central Tablelands districts for the remainder of today and overnight.

The next warning is due to be issued by 4:00 pm Sunday.

Still no signs for severe weather yet...since there is current warning for it...

Just when Loye was looking good rain has come again. Watson has been easy pickings so far again proving the point he shouldn't have been rushed back.

Thats a shame all that going on and off caused that wicket. Oh well we're take it, good throw by Hayden but poor running there he was no where near making it.

There goes Strauss already continuing his bad form.

In the way that bad because the rain is changing the course of the match and changing the pitch condition as it was at the start of the game and the lost of concentration. In a way it making it go Australia way...
