Commonwealth Bank Series

Anyway surely this means we have to bring Tait over Clark in the WC as our bowling attack looked pedestrian again. Having Hilfy would help too cause of the movement he gets.
The sad truth is that Clark will probably talk his way into a spot and Tait nor Hilfy will get into the WC squad. Ponting will probably dominate every bowling attack, McGrath won't do badly either but Clark we'll get selected for the WC and we'll probably end up playing a team like the Windies for instance in the Semi Finals? And Gayle & Lara will combine. Clark will go for 100+ and we'll lose a huge run chase. You'll be pissed, I'll be pissed and every Australian supporter on this forum will be pissed.

Congrats England clearly the better team in this final series, pity that we couldn't at least finish the game off.

Now if this rain can continue for longggg, then we can atlist try to share this with england on tuesday .

Duckworth Lewis WC :)

Great win by the lads and showed great detirmination to win 4 games in a row at the back end of the tour.
Leaves us in good sted for the World Cup in March!

Thats so unfair. i know it will sound like sour grapes, so dont bother telling me, but england simply do not deserve this trophy. they plaed some of the worst cicket i have seen, and the world has seen. take the two adelaide matches, 120 and 110, and then they go on and win it. Australia outplayd them on almost every occasion, and only 60 overs in teh first final, and then this match and they have won the first ever CB Trophy. atleast they didnt win off there own bat, and it was abandoned, which should hopefully take soe of it away from england.

this was bound to happened. Australia playing brilliant cricket all summer long, it HAD to go pear shaped at some point. England played absolutely rubbish all summer long, they get a break n the finals. disgusting.

You're missing the point mate of how well England have rebounded, yes they were down and out at the half way stage but you must envy their spirit and turnaround. This is what makes the victory so sweet for England. Seems you are the one being disgusting and I'm glad no other Aussie supporter share the same view as you. Grow up and don't just come and post on the forum to have a cry and bitch about England's victory. Give credit where credit is due.

Shows you just how vital he is. Our fielding standards have dropped and we probably missed his spin bowling tonight along with his usual big hitting.

Hilf will always benefit from a bit more maturing, who knows, has he got a county contract this year? His swing bowling could be interesting with a Duke ball in his hand.

Tait however, although he will also benefit from experience, has to be utilised while he is fit and leaving scorch marks on bats. McGrath will be gone before long and if his spot isn't treated as up for grabs, I don't see how we can get the best performance from our bowlers.

Ben is dead right about Clark, I think. There will be an easy pitch on a small ground against a good team and Clark will just not have enough tricks to hold up. The wickets he usually gets from batsmen holing out won't materialise because such shot will be clearing the fence.
