amended the roster and made a few creation changes (swapping out for better versions of the same player) for my england (current generation) which has been sadly rated down to zero... i am now off to contact B Watson

Is it really down to zero?

As suggested some pages back by someone, we could have BigAnt review our top rated teams and give best ones a tag as "PlanetCricket Recommended". That way there would be no licencing issue and people would notice the new tag next to these teams.

Well... If someone doesn't put in an effort to check out multiple version of a team by different creators, he probably isn't too worried about the best ones created to begin with.

@MattW can you replace my player with the one I've created? The one you pulled from Biggs' team was just a shoddy 5 minute work by me. :facepalm

My player: Gaurav Sheoran
Creator: AngryPixel

Just a call out to creators with teams in get best - make sure you've set the default line ups and uniforms for each match type!

I have revisited my teams and checked this and made sure they are all done.

additionally, i have uploaded a team of Umpires - unattributed/skilled etc. unless they also are a player in a team (such as Reiffel, Willey, Illingworth) - but just to give a few "real" names for umpires. a mixture of current (Benson/Rauf) and classic (Bird, Bucknor, Rana)

@blockerdave A little help guys. If i download a team and then edit the players from team, how can i edit a person's role? How can i make someone who is allrounder appear as Bowler or Batsman? Can't find any option regarding this. There are some player who have allrounder role even though their batting skills are not great yet in the career mode it is affected as system normalizes attributes and thus makes them really good with bat.

----------

Nevermind. Got it. Reducing batting skills does the trick. Creating teams accurately so that I can start a career. Have you created team for career already blocker? Then i wont do them ;)

Yes player role is dependent upon skills and attributes. I do not think anyone is creating special teams for career modes. Current solution is to start with a fresh profile. Start the career mode with default teams and then download the custom teams. Normal game outside career matches will have upto date squads where in the career mode you will have default teams with fake names. Recreating the default teams is kinda redundant work for us unless blocker is bored and need a purpose in life.

you discovered it... there is a discussion somewhere where i think once a certain % of their skills are skewed to batting or bowling that is their role, if the split is more even they are an all rounder.

no i didn't create any teams for career yet, although until recently all of my international teams matched the on-disc rosters, and in fact i think most still do so internationals at least probably look ok :)

even i don't have that little a life... i'm spending my time making the england 1899 Ashes Squad... (not really)

I'm editing some teams and would check the results if they are positive. At the moment i believe that some players who are really not great with the bat are labelled as Allrounders because of the some batting skill they have. In normal matches that does not affect. But when career starts, game normalizes the teams which basically distributes the skills in the team according to the role they have and thus those allrounder turn out to be great batsman who score big even at number 8 or 9. So if i reduce the skills so that they would appear as just bowlers, then that might do the trick. That is what i think, it could be different. Thus I'll just create indian domestic teams and try out in career mode.

i think you have misunderstood it. it normalises it by giving the player at position x in the custom roster whatever the skills/attributes of the player at position x in the on-disc roster.

so only if you have a CA team that matches precisely the CA roster, i.e. player y in position x on the CA roster matches player y in position x on the on-disc roster, will you avoid the problem.

e.g. in the on-disc notts, the counterpart for a bowler was position 9, and the counterpart for alex hales was position 12, due to team changes etc. in the CA roster hales is now position 9, so he has the bowler's attributes and skills, hence he ends up opening the bowling; and somebody else now has alex hales' attributes, but since the batting lineup was set in CA you still have hales high up the order, making 10 and 12, and the guy down the order making 65 and 132...

your tweaking won't fix that, unfortunately.
