"Get back he'll kill you!" BANG! I woke up three hours later in a bed I realised in a matter of seconds I was in the hospital. I couldn't remember a thing. Around my bed was my mum, dad, and some friends. The doctor came and told me what had happened. I had been shot in the shoulder, stomach and leg. I was going to need surgery to remove the bullets and I won't be out for two weeks which means I won't be able to do my next exams. I was gutted as I will be behind in my training but hopefully the tutor will allow me to do the exams when I recover. The police came and asked some questions about the shhoting. I couldn't remember anything but I told them if anything comes back I would tell.
I was allowed home the next morning and I was still shocked at why somebody would actually try to kill me. Why would some mindless thug try to kill an innocent man who wants to earn a living? I thought about how there is so much violence in the world but why did it happen to me? Life is full of surprises though and you can't expect anything.

The next day I was back in my hospital ed and I saw a specialist to sort out my surgery and I was going to wait two days for it so I had at least an extra two days in hospital which I didn't like to hear but I am glad to hear that I will recover in 8 weeks so this is good news. My tutor called and wished me well and I can take the exams when i'm ready so there's no rush there. All in all things are going to be okay.

I woke up today with a lot of nerves as it was the day I go under the knife. I was booked in at 2:00 pm so I had a long time to wait. I had visitors in out out sending me flowers and cards and chocolates but my only thought was pulling through, recovering and getting back to my training. 2:00 came fast. It was time to go up and get the bullets out of me. 3 and a half hours later I woke up around me was my mum, dad and my sister. I was to stay in for the next 10 days and I will be on crutches for at least 2 months. I am glad I pulled through it all. I knew now that everything will be fine and I can concentrate on my recovery.
