Rooney and Gerrard give England the lead​

Walcott , Rooney and Gerrard seal another win for England . England came into this game with lot of confidence by winning all the 3 games under Fabio Capello . And the winning run continued . Capello played a diffrenet looking lineup 4-4-1-1 . Gerrard was the one behind Rooney up front on his own . Micah Richards started as Ferdinand suffered an injury in the previous game . Last time when this two teams met England had lost 2-0 due an own goal from Neville and a good header by Eduardo . But this time it all got changed . Gerrard opened the scoring for England in the 13th minute . A great combination between Rooney who headed down a cross from Beckham to Gerrard and Gerrard finishing with easy . Minutes later it was Gerrard's time to assist a great through ball to Rooney and Rooney finishing it past the keeper . England 2-0 up . Croatia had just one chance and that was to Petric he chiped it over Foster but is was not on target .

Walcott scored the winner​

Croatia had to score if then had any chance of coming back . 3 minutes after kick of Croatia got one goal back . A good cross by Modric and Petric got the header pass Foster . Croatia where back in it . Capello made his first cahnge Walcott was brought on for Joe Cole . Croatia continued their attacking . Eduardo got 2 shots in some 3 minutes but both were great saved by Foster . Time was running away for Croatia . England attacked a great long range by Gerrard well anticipated by the keeper and whent out for a corner . Beckham with an outswinging corner and Walcott attacked the near post and scored with his head . Wow!! first goal for Walcott and it was surely the winner as it came 15 minutes from time . Croatia could have bought one back again but Kranjcar's free kick hit the post and then was cleared of the line by Foster in stoppage time .

• Great start for Capello​

England registered their 4th win in a row under Fabio Capello . Players and fans both celebrated the win especially Walcott who score his first goal for his counrty . Capell looked happy as he hugged Rooney and Walcott after the match on the pitch .

Beckham named New England Captain​

Fabio Capello has named David Beckham as the new permanent England Captian . Capello said in a press conference that Becks a great relationship with all the players as well as he has some great leadership qualities . He said that making Beckham the captain will make England rise to a new level .

Beckham was stretched off​

Fabio Capello and England were looking for their 5 straight win in a row while Scotland were looking to upset their neighbors . But the end the both the team fought a goalless draw . England had got a lot of chances but they failed to convert any of them . While Scotland got 3 chances out of which 2 hit the post and one went wide . England started the match positively . Frank Lampard going for a 25 yard shot saved by Craig Gordon . Then Rooney's header from Beckham's cross shaved the bar . But the highlight of the first half the major injury to Beckham . A very dangerous challenge by Weir on Beckham and Beckham was Stretched out directly to the hospital . The inury looked something very dangerous a similar one to that sustained by Eduardo . New England captain had to be substituted in the 31st minute . Walcott who came in was bot looking that good as Beckham .

England players frustrated​

In the second half England looked completely out of shape . There was a lot of distress among the players . They were looking disturbed by the injury . Gerrard got a couple of chances but they both were saved by Gordon . Scotland could have taken the advantage of the injury by going front but Hartley's hot hit the post not once but twice . It was full dominance by Scotland n the second half . And at full time it ended 0-0 and totally unhappy with themselves . They were totally sad by Beckham's injury .

England fans totally unhappy with result ​

Fans looked sad and as well as Fabio Capello as his winning streak had come to an end . Would this injury will be the end of Beckham ? Will he ever play for England ?
