Fabio Capello has made only one change in the squad that is Peter Crouch had been left due to poor performances and Frank Lampard has been called up . Capello siad that Lampard will not be starting as Hargreaves has played brilliantly in the two matches.

Tuncay gives them the early lead​

Goals from Rooney and Gerrard helps England come back and win a thriller . England were hit by a set back when Tuncay Sanli scored for Turkey in the 5th minute to give the host the lead . great pass by Emre which made Tuncay a easy finish passed Foster . 9 minutes later Emre wrote his name in the score books with a good chip over Foster . England came back in by a Downing header but it was ruled out for offside . The replays said that Downing wasn't offside but Owen was but he never touched the ball . Capello looked fumed over the linesman as he kept complaining to the 4th official . But England tried hard and got the goal through Wayne Rooney . A great pass by Ashely Cole which lead Rooney use his great chip over Rustu in top right corner and England were down 2-1 at half time .

Wayne Rooney scores the equalizer​

Capello made two changes at half time . Michael Owen was removed for Frank Lampard who took his place in the midfield and Stewart Downing was removed for Joe Cole . Steven Gerrard played as a striker alongside Wayne Rooney . England kept on attacking with less result . They were keeping the ball well with them and were passing it . But soon England counter attacked Turkey's corner . Lead by Wayne Rooney he passed it to Joe Cole on the left . Cole gave it to Ashley Cole behind him . Ashley Cole gave a long ball to Beckham on the right wing . Beckham lobbed it over in the penalty box and Gerrard reached the ball and laid it of to Rooney just outside the box and Rooney took the volley and beat Rustu in the top left corner . The ball had a lot of power on it which beat Rustu . England had completed a comeback . Both sides were ready to go for the win . Micah Richards was bought on for Rio Ferdinand who suffered a hamstring . The break was on again by England a great through ball by Hargreaves which made Gerrard free to take on the keeper . Rustu charged Gerrard and Gerrard got easily passed him and scored the goal . England lead 3-2 . It was the last attack for Turkey in stoppage time . A good shot by Sukur by his left foot well saved by Foster but did get it cleared Tuncay too k the rebound but hit Foster's shoulder which again led to Emre to take the rebound but this hitting Foster's thigh and went back to Tuncay who took the shot but hit Foster's face and was finally cleared by Hargreaves of the line . It was 4 great reflect saves by Foster which earned England their first ever competitive win under Capello .

England players celebrating a fantastic win in Istanbul​

Fans at Istanbul were delighted with the comeback and some fans were remember Liverpool's historic match against Milan 3 years ago in the same stadium in a UEFA Champions League Final . Fabio Capello looked happy as he went back and surely England players and fans were delighted win this win .

Fabio Capello named just one change in his squad that beat Turkey is that injured Rio Ferdinand is replaced by Michael Dawson in the squad . Capello said that he may use the 4-4-1-1 formation as Lampard could play a important role in Zagreb . Gerrard would just sit behing Wayne Rooney .
