Issue: Ball hitting invisible wall
Bug description: Since the last patch, I’ve had a few instances when bowling of the AI batsmen striking the ball and it abruptly bouncing off thin air to the ground. It’s happened every seven or eight games and often seems to hit where silly point or very close fielder should be. Commentators sometimes recognise it as a dropped catch but recently I had an example where the ball went a few feet up, prob on way for 6, then just bounced down!

Issue (one line description): AI batsmen struggle to hit spinners when line is kept outside off and around. As an example bowled 4 spinners (All rounder, batting all rounder, part timer) against NZ on a green track for 71 runs in 15 overs with 5 wickets). I have been playing the game for a long time now and this issue has been there for sometime now.

This makes otherwise a really good game very unrealistic. Its sometimes too easy to restrict the AI batsmen with any random spinner. Maybe the range against spinners needs to be increased and more shots need to be added. Thanks.

Issue (one line description): After creating the custom teams for Carlton & United Series 1990s the game plays well and players look awesome. After saving the game in between and then restarting Cricket 19 and resuming the saved games, all the logos are getting disappeared (logos on bat and the team jerseys getting disappeared). These logos are the one which had been added to the uniforms through "Logo Creator." This happens always. I hope anybody is facing this same bug?

Yup I am facing this issue too... I play on ps4... After the latest patch it got messed up

Platform: Xbox One
Game Version: Go to Settings > Credits in game and note the version number string in the bottom right. v0.1.1349
Game Mode: World Test Championship
Match Type: Test
Teams used: England (USER) v Australia (AI) - both on-disc
Ground: The Oval
Over Count: 122.2 of England’s 1st inns
Issue (one line description): Leg byes not awarded
Bug description (detail): I ducked to avoid a bouncer, but the ball glanced the top of the helmet and ran over the keeper down towards fine leg. I took a run, but after the ball was dead the batsmen were still at their original ends for the next delivery and the run was not counted. Under the laws of the game, a leg bye should have been awarded here (since it was in the act of trying to avoid being hit by the ball) - but it appears that the game is coded incorrectly to only award leg byes if a shot (not ducking) has been played.

I've started playing on the PS5 and copied over my save from the PS4. Have found that all of my downloaded stadiums default to a basic ground and I cannot redownload them.

With teams I have tried to update but again none of the logs carry over.

Any thoughts?

can you copy over a save.Doesn't sound like something that would work.I would imagine you would have to download everything again on the PS 5 anyway.

Platform: Xbox One
Game Version: Latest version as of 20 Jan 2021
Game Mode: Five 5 (amended user version)
Match Type: Offline
Teams used: England Women (User) v Australia Women (AI) - both on-disc
Ground: Headingley
Over Count: Beginning of England innings
Issue (one line description): Tie declared and Super Over called after just 1 ball
Bug description (detail): After the Australia innings finished (AI), the first ball of the England innings went for a wide. After the wide was called, the commentator said 'The game has ended in a tie, now for a Super Over'. My 2 England openers walked back out to the crease again to start the Super Over, but the game carried on as a Five 5 game (still with 30 balls left, chasing the correct target).

Platform: Xbox One X
Game Version: v0.1.1349
Game Mode: Career
Match Type: Training / Batting mini game
Teams used: Kent
Ground: Kent Oval
Over Count: N/A

Issue:
On loading the batting training mini game with the default pace bowler setting applied the game is repeatedly loading a spin bowler instead.

Bug description. The above is fairly self explanatory. However, you can't even change the incorrectly loaded bowler to a pace bowler when this happens because of a long term glitch that's never been fixed in earlier versions. If you attempt to change bowlers in the batting training mini game & look around for the batting target the batsman's stance immediately reverses on each subsequent delivery & the game becomes 100% unplayable.

I've only experienced this ridiculous spin bowler being loaded for a pace bowler glitch since the latest patch. The farcical issue with the batsman reversing their stance if you attempt to change the bowler, however, has been an issue with this game since release that apparently nobody has any interest in fixing.

Match Type: Test/First Class.

Issue:
The known "follow on" bug with previous patches is actually worse now, not improved. Half of the time the option is no longer actually offered & the game just automatically follows on regardless of my wish as captain to bat again.

Bug description: In many matches now I'm not even being offered the option to enforce the follow on or bat again. (With previous patches the option was present at the top of the scorecard but it still didn't work properly & the game would often enforce a follow on even when it wasn't desired. (I'm also careful to avoid skipping (X button on Xbox) & use the simulate option from the in-game menu instead, but that also now makes little to no difference either.))

The options to follow on or not (when applicable) have always been a problem with this game, but it's now worse than ever & it often completely ruins a tactical advantage, not to mention gameplay in general.

Issue:
The latest patch notes claimed that the known issues involving the calculation of overthrows or the correct course of action should the batsman cross had been fixed but it clearly has not, (on the Xbox at least).

Bug description: Instances involving overthrows are still being incorrectly calculated as 5 runs every time regardless of the actual number of runs taken as previously reported & claimed as fixed. If the batsman cross the original batsman also remains on strike.

For example, I've had instances where I've taken 2 or 3 runs & a terrible throw comes in from a fielder on the boundary resulting in 4 extra overthrows but the game is still repeatedly calculating this as 5 runs when 6 or 7 runs should have been awarded respectively. (Oddly, this problem is actually worse when the AI is set to legendary as well.)

Platform: Xbox One X
Game Version: v0.1.1349
Game Mode: Career
Match Type: First Class.
Teams used: Kent vs Hampshire, (in this instance).
Ground: Kent Oval
Over Count: Began in 9th over in this instance.

Issue: Batsman began taking giant steps across the stumps & down the pitch right at the moment the shot needed to be played from spin bowlers. (Fast bowlers remained unaffected.)

Bug description: Ordinarily the batsman stands still at the crease until the moment a shot is played, the delivery is actively left by the player, or there is sometimes a very subtle trigger movement/step to spin bowlers, (more so leg spin vs off spin). However, my batsman (RHB) suddenly started taking giant steps forward & across the stumps even to deliveries coming in from the leg side, (advancing shots were not being inadvertently activated). (I can't recall ever experiencing this problem happening before the latest patch in literally thousands of matches played of all formats, & with multiple careers of differing specialties, but I've now seen this happening a couple of times since the latest patch. It continued on for several overs in this instance while spinners were operating at both ends & then cleared itself when a fast bowler came back on this time.)

Exiting/re-entering the match, restarting the game, or completely rebooting the Xbox had no effect until it eventually seemed to clear itself. Ultimately, it made batting nigh on impossible because - I could no longer gauge exactly where & how far the batsman would step forward/across to, where I'd actually end up in relation to the stumps & a moving ball after this "giant glitch step", & the batsman was still actually in motion exactly when the shot needed to be played which also caused serious timing issues as well. Even a simple front foot defense became almost impossible because the batsman was still in the middle of taking this huge step & almost all that I did actually manage to defend were still timed very late anyway. (I had more LBW appeals made against me or was very nearly bowled in those 12 glitched overs than I can ever recall having in any 12 matches!!)

(I currently use custom batting difficulties based upon the "hardest" preset but modified to be slightly easier than the actual hardest preset itself.)

Will edit this post if this becomes a chronically recurrent issue but it obviously shouldn't be happening in the first place.

EDIT:. OK, this has become a repeating issue but oddly it only seems to be happening with my genuine "all rounder" career so far. I've been trying to recreate it with a "specialist batsman" & a "batting all rounder" career as well. (I've also tried testing to recreate this glitch in other game modes such as an Ashes series or ODI World Cup matches using the entire team to bat rather than one individual player.) So far, I haven't been able to recreate this glitch anywhere else & oddly it seems to be confined to the "all rounder career" alone.

A "possible" cause/trigger that may be contributing towards this particular glitch is the pre-delivery use of both the LEFT trigger to view current fielding positions, plus the simultaneous use of the RIGHT trigger to check the batsmans exact guard/position on the batting crease. (It's not 100% recreatable every time for me to be 100% certain. However, using both triggers certainly seems to be a very common pattern so far after now seeing this glitch repeating in another 5 or 6 separate matches since the initial post. I'm using an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller if that's also of any consequence.)

On a related note there's now another glitch with the latest patch that may have actually lead to the discovery of this one. Prior to the v0.1.1349 patch, if you moved the batsman from their default position on the crease for fast bowlers & a spin bowler then subsequently came into the attack for the first time in an innings, the game would always automatically return the batsman to the default crease positioning/guard for a spin bowler.

Since the latest patch, the batsman now isn't always automatically being placed back to the default crease position when there's an initial change from a fast bowler to a spin bowler at each end respectively for the first time in an innings. (Consequently, obviously I have to readjust my crease positioning manually when there is a change from a fast to a spin bowler & the automated repositioning fails. I then also need to use both triggers simultaneously to double check that I'm positioned & taking the correct guard specific to the type of spin bowler. Prior to this issue, because the game would always automatically move the batsman back to the default guard/position when a spin bowler first came into the attack I never needed to use both triggers to adjust/check guard as the vast majority of the time I just bat from the default position when facing spinners. (I constantly adjust my position on (or just outside) the crease when facing fast bowlers, however, based on their height or actual pace, or the type of pitch itself, & especially in the shorter formats of the game.)

(Additionally - I use the "BATTING CLOSE" view almost exclusively as I like the additional degree of difficulty the batting close view adds & personally I find it slightly more immersive than the alternatives too, which is possibly compounding this issue. (I occasionally use the "BATTING PRO" view but I haven't noticed it happening while in the pro view either.) It may even be an issue specific to the batting close view itself, as I can't help but notice the distinct lack of anyone else reporting this same glitch & I know I'm in a distinct minority of those that use this particular view for batting. (It's not as straightforward to immediately gauge the batsman's exact positioning on the crease using the batting close (or pro) view as it is with the batting mid/batting far views because of the significant difference in the actual view angles from behind/above, or first person respectively. Batting close has a far shallower rear angle of view so both triggers are often required to check the exact positioning of the Batman's feet. Batting Pro pretty much speaks for itself.)

I apologise for the lengthy details but it's not exactly an easy issue to properly explain in 50 words or less, & obviously I'm potentially using settings/views that the vast majority quite possibly aren't ;)!!

Regards.

Issue: Problems with dual instances of the same player being loaded into the same teams has become significantly worse since the last patch. (Some teams even have duplicates of 5 or 6 players.)

Bug description: The above is fairly self explanatory. Screenshot of just one instance attached for reference. In this case it happened to be Babar Azam.

Issue (one line description): Batsman leaves the crease when ball is near the keeper or bowler only to get stumped or run out
Bug description (detail): when a Batsman leaves a delivery off a quick bowler to the keeper, he jumps out of his crease moving in circles to only allow the keeper to throw at the stumps and thereby get him stumped out...
This bug was found in previous AC17 version too. A similar pattern observed when a throw from the deep is just about to be collected by a keeper or a bowler, and just then the batsman takes off for another run only to get run out.
I've come across the same bug as the quoted one above.
